I had my car towed to BMW of west springfield MA, to get car initially overhaul and completely fixed I understand that are six underlying recalls airbags, odb communications, brakes, electrical, door latches, after calling and letting them know my car was on its way, I requested a courtesy call and no was given I call two days later to be told my car wasn’t on the lot, then to be called back hours later to be told they could not find key to my vehicle, also they tried to make me pay for the lost key in which they lost, they still refuse to fix the recall and are requesting me get it towed out at there expense the recalls can only be fixed by BMW, also massachusetts and federal law requires them to be fixed, so therefore the car cannot leave the lot until recall is fixed.
My airbags system has malfunction for both driver and passenger side. The brake system has a malfunction as well as emergency braking system the steering has a malfunction as well.
The contact owns a 2013 BMW 750li. The contact sated that the air bag warning light remained illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The dealer performed a diagnostic that located failure code: 930910. The driver’s air bag valve resistance was too high, and the air bag module had an internal shortage. The contact was informed that the air bag needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximated failure mileage was 49,000.

I have a 2007 750li BMW with airbag and seat belt problems has there been a recall on this safety complaint.
The "airbag malfunction" dash light is on. The BMW dealer has determined the malfunction is due to an internal failure to the drivers seat occupancy detector. An active recall (17v-605 ?) includes 2004-2006 BMW 7 series but excludes my 2007 BMW 7. Dealer declined to make the repairs under the active recall.
I have driver seat belt restraint system light on on driver side. Was there a recall to fix this from happening also a parasistic draw draining my battery then car dies. No start.

Fault 97e0 - front passenger oc3 occupancy detection mat defective. This is the second such failure in this vehicle. The first occurred the year prior in the driver-side mat when the vehicle had less than 75,000 miles. At a normal mileage usage of 15,000 per year, the first failure would have occurred after 5 years of service. The passenger seat is used less than 20% of the driver's seat. On a pro-rata basis, the passenger seat mat failed in less than 2 years of equivalent use. We have not had the repair done for 2 reasons: 1) the repair ranges in cost between $1,700 - $2,700 as compared to the driver's seat repair that cost $700, and 2) the repair requires the replacement of the entire passenger seat cover (the driver's side doesn't), which disfigures the interior upholstery aesthetics. This failure occurs in almost every BMW model in years both prior and after 2008, with several years gaining recall status. This is understandable since the mat manufacturer most likely provided seat mats to all of BMW's vehicle lineup. The mat failure was a manufacturer's defect from the outset and should be covered by BMW.
A seat occupancy detector fault prevents the entire airbag system from working. This fault signal appears when the car is started and continues until it is off. The airbag fault signal was checked and confirmed to be a failure of the passenger seat detector. This is a common BMW problem. It caused NHTSA recall 13v564000 (11/12/13) and is now the subject of an extensive BMW warranty extension for many models in lieu of a recall, but not for the 2007 7 series. BMW service bulletin si b01 01 18 (may 2018) identifies 12 model types given a lifetime warranty extension for specified years: e53 (x5) for 2001-2006; e60 (5 series) 2004-2008; e61 (5 series wagon) 2006-2007; e63 (6 series) 2004-2008); e64 (6 series convertible) 2004-2008; e65-e66 (7 series) 2002-2006; e83 (x3) 2004-2010; e85 (z4) 2003-2007; e86 (z4 coupe) 2006-2008; e90 (3 series sedan) 2006-2007; and e91 (3 series touring) 2006-2007. For no apparent reason, the 2007 7 series is excluded from this warranty extension. A specialty BMW repair shop that uses BMW trained personnel confirmed that there was no material difference in the seat detection system between models included in the BMW warranty extension and those excluded from it, like the 2007 7 series. The Bmws have a design shortcoming that requires that a repair of a failed passenger seat occupancy detector is extremely expensive, requiring extensive work to rework the entire passenger seat. That expense in the range of $2,000, is a great disincentive to repairing older models with diminished value. That creates additional danger of no air bag protection in these cars. When asked, BMW representatives made no attempt to explain why the 2007 7 series is excluded from the warranty extension, saying only that the choice of models covered is based on internal data and BMW customer service has no discretion to cover or reduce costs for models not included.
Driver seat belt restaint malfunction warning. This warning came up suddenly. Took to the dealer, they suggested replacing the air bags. Not covered by warranty, looked around a lot of cars have the saem issue, fixed by readjusting the wiring harness, dealer had many issues with recharigng system and replaced many parts uncessay so I am sure the issue is not related to airbags.

I just purchased a 2006 BMW 750i. Beautiful car. I saw that it had a recall. So I took it to the BMW dealership in charlotte nc northlake to get it checked out because I just bought the vehicle. I told them about the recall and they said they would check it. It's the year 2016 and they tell me that the recall was for 10 years and that they wouldnt repair the problem. My car is 10 years old and I dont understand why they wont repair it. And its a very serious problem for me and my family. The airbag is a very serious recall. Was just hoping that I could get some help with this issue. I dont feel as if I should have to pay for the repairs on such a serious defect. And it was a recall for a reason.
Takata recall. Th contact owns a 2016 BMW 750li. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16v173000 (air bags); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
Transmission began to loose power ,shifting by its self , with a message stating ' "transmission default malfunction" car came to a complete stop on freeway almost throwing me through windshield. Take car to closest dealer immediately ,also would not shift out of park. 2) malfunction message regarding driver seat belt with illuminated icon. 3) driver door opens by its self my daughter almost fell out of the car at 60mph I had to get transmission fixed twice at an autherized shop costing over $ 3000 and is still acting up.
I was exiting off ramp on interstate. Applied brakes to slow down, left drivers side, side impact airbag and head restraint airbag deployed without warning. I did not contact anything on road or around car. I was blown out of my shoulder strap on seat belt from left side, striking my head and left arm violently. I had my left arm on armrest and it received major impact ,while I received multiple injuries to my head ,neck, left ear and back. Upon pulling car over to side of road, the gas tank had also ruptured for unknown reasons at the same time. Complete inspection of vehicle and under body revealed no impact from debris around tank or on body of car,as gas tank is covered by a belly pan for protection of tank. This vehicle almost caused severe injury or death to myself. I did not have any warning of any kind. No service vehicle lights were illuminated. Airbag also caused major damage to interior and windshield. BMW owners manual states airbag deployment should only happen in major impact, for which there was no impact of any kind. There was a major malfunction of vehicle to say the least,I am just thankful to be alive ,as car could have caught fire,I was able to maintain control on road and pull vehicle over upon escaping vehicle ,I ran away as I smelled gas.

BMW have a recall on 2006 BMW 750li passenger seat mat, this defect will keep the air bag from deploying during an accident. But in most BMW, from friends of mine the driver seat mat is the one that defective on a regular bases but BMW is avoiding the repair, this defect can a will cause someone thier life. The recall# 13v564000 for the passenger seat mat, but the driver seat mat is the problem. My drive seat mat is broken my car only have 72000 miles on the car,BMW is avoiding the repair. Correct now or some one will die soon, because of this defect.
Airbags never popped open, door handle opened and is still not shutting correctly. Since my car was paid in full, I did not carry full coverage only liability so I did not file a claim. I paid the damages out of my own pocket and just this week I've paid the last $1200. 00 of the part ordered for last of repairs. In total ive paid a little over 15,000 out of my own money.

Warning message appears for driver restraint system failure for driver seat tensioner. Identical to passenger seat restraint warning that was recalled only difference is that it is for the drivers side.
I started getting an error on my I-drive about a month ago stating that there was a problem with my air bag/restraint system and found the recall notice on the NHTSA website. I called my local dealer and made an appointment to get it repaired under warranty. I was told that BMW currently does not have a recall for this issue, and was forced to pay using my extended warranty. I ended up having to pay $260 out of pocket after deductible and extra charges because my extended warranty company did not want to pay the high hourly labor rate of the dealer. So I had to pay the difference. I told the dealer about the recall on the NHTSA site & they said that unless BMW has it in the system showing that it affects my specific vehicle, it is not valid. . .
Airbag warning (restraint system failure) always shows up when car is started and in operation.

Updated 2/27/cn the consumer stated the vehicle that struck into the driver's side was traveling at least 40 mph. The consumer's vehicle was inspected and found to be a total loss. . . Continuation of affected parts: latches/locks/linkages and parking brake, your site states recalls for 2006 BMW 750i, but BMW said there is no recalls for my VIN. I have been having multiple safety issues with this vehicle. I have been having problems with the latches/locks on all four doors, they repeatedly go lock and unlock. I was driving down the street with my 3 year old grandchild and his door came open. The car also accelerates and shuts down almost like is going to stop. Parking brake light will not go off and it makes a grinding noise.
Driving, with my wife as passenger,on 118 fwy, in simi valley California at approx. 11:30 pm on June 6 when air bags deployed without warning, and without collision or impact. Engine was disabled and I was miraculously able to coast the vehicle to the side of the road, despite lack of vision from airbag and from dust inside vehicle. No indication of any impact whatsoever. Vehicle was completely disabled and I was barely able to get vehicle out of traffic lane. Dashboard had two messages: 1. "engine malfunction" 2. "fault in passenger restraint system affecting airbag, belt tensioner or belt force limiter" vehicle was towed to a local BMW vehicle on Monday , June 10, and I have been waiting to hear something/anything from BMW factory ever since. Clearly, this accident could very well have been a fatality had there been traffic on the freeway or had we not been extremely fortunate.
My passenger air bags are inoperable in my vehicle. It was this way when I bought the car. It was reported to me the vehicle was under recall for the situation but when I had the car taken to the dealership, they informed me my particular vehicle wasn't under recall. My question is why is my car isn't one of the vehicles under recall. I had the car checked out by a certified BMW mechanic and he stated it's in the passenger occupancy detector.
On date in question my girlfriend sat down on the passenger seat and a red light appeared on my dash board. I took my veh to the dealer and was told it wasn't a warrantee issue and it would cost me approx $1500. 00 also I was told my airbags would not work. I decided not to fix the problem. Several months later I received a recall notice for this same issue. I immediately call the dealer and informed them that I received a recall for this issue and I was told that I have to wait for another letter. I'm concerned about my safety, why is it taking so long for this letter from BMW of north America.
