Tl the contact owns a 2012 BMW 750i. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 18v248000 (engine and engine cooling); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. BMW of ontario (1350 auto center dr, ontario, CA 91761, (909) 906-4000) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

3 Engine Cooling System problem of the 2006 BMW 750

Failure Date: 05/09/2017

The contact owns a 2006 BMW 750li. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 mph, the vehicle jerked independently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission, cooling system and engine need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 131,031.

4 Engine Cooling System problem of the 2011 BMW 750

Failure Date: 08/10/2016

The contact owns a 2011 BMW 750li. The contact stated that the vehicle emitted a burning odor. In addition, the vehicle used an abnormal amount of coolant. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 18v248000 (engine and engine cooling); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. BMW of birmingham (1000 tom williams way, irondale, al) was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. The failure mileage was 80,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

5 Engine Cooling System problem of the 2006 BMW 750

Failure Date: 08/27/2013

Vehicle had indication of passenger mat sensor failure. Spoke to dealership with no luck on coverage. Called recall number and was told there was only a recall on vehicle for transmission going into neutral. Vehicle was serviced at dealership for water pump failure a few months ago and I asked about recalls and was told there were none for my VIN. This is the 3rd thing to fail in less than a year of purchase. 1st was door actuator failure, 2nd water pump failure, and now mat sensor.

6 Engine Cooling System problem of the 2001 BMW 750

Failure Date: 11/01/2004

Recall 02v138000; consumer replaced the coolant system. Currently, consumer's vehicle was having the same problem.
