Transmission Not Go Into Gear Problems of BMW 750

Also, the transmission fault warning indicator illuminated. The dealer diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. My car is not getting into gear. It stop at red lights and did not move when shifting to gear it automatically goes back to parking. Following the light change, I got a hesitant pull off and knocking or the car seemed to skip or as if gear was slipping.
