Air Bag Light On Problems of Buick Century

Tl- the contact owns a 2004 Buick Century. The contact stated that the air bag light illuminated, and stayed on, while driving about 10 mph. The contact called an independent mechanic whose voice mail was full. The dealer was not called. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. In 2003 I had the air bag system of my 1996 Buick Century wagon serviced at ragsdale Chevrolet in spencer, MA. The initial reason for bringing the car in for servicing was that the airbag light was on. The mechanics of ragsdale Chevrolet then went through the system and replaced the sensors. The cost of the repairs was very high and seemed legitimate and the airbag light was no longer on. On January 23, 2004 I was involved in a front end collission wherein I was cut-off at an intersection by an SUV. My front struck his car broadside. The airbag system failed to fully deploy the bag and in fact no part of the air bag exited the steering wheel.

Passenger airbag light on--means airbag will not/may not deploy if in an auto accident. Dealer sharpe Buick replaced module approx 3 times but problem still exists. I was told that airbag light had to stay on constant before they could do anything, light is always on and problem was still not resolved. Also antifreeze leaking due to leaking lower intake gasket which has been leaking for years also taken to sharpe Buick several times they didn't see a problem even when there was a smell at the dealership. Also the instrument panel cluster was replaced it starting dimming and finally went black. I have recently paid for these repairs. Car came with manufacturer warranty when I purchased the car and I also purchased an extension on the manufacturer warranty from the car dealer sief chevy/Buick in hastings mi where I purchased the car.

Air bag light constantly stayed on.
