2 Front Air Bag problem of the 2001 Buick Century

Failure Date: 08/11/2003

Consumer's vehicle rear ended another vehicle while driving at 50 mph. Front end pushd the engine back 2 - 3 inches. Most of the damage occurred on the passenger side. Upon impact,none of the frontal air bags deployed. Driver and passenger sustained serious injuries.

While driving at 10-20 mph front passenger tire hit a curb and the air bags deployed. Air bag cover exploded in the air, and lodged itself into the front windshield.

Failure Date: 08/29/1999

While riding about 25 mph car in front started to put on its brakes. Consumer also attempted to put on the brakes. But, instead, car speeded up and jumped the curve. Car gained even more speed and finally was stopped by hitting a tree, upon impact, air bag didn't diploy. Consumer's foot was broken in the process of trying to put on the brakes. The passenger was also banged up. Passenger side does not have an air bag.
