Air conditioning just stopped working. My 2015 Buick Enclave just turned 30,000 miles. Imagine my shock when I was told it would cost $1,530. 83 to repair. Warranty appears to be 3 years -30,000 miles. I've noticed a lot of complaints on line regarding air conditioning problems in this make and model and wondered if a recall had taken place. I've been a general motors gal through most of my life. My father started at a repo man with gmac and retired as sales manager 1970. I was secretary to branch manager @ motors insurance company in my younger days. A lot of trust and loyalty to gm over the years, when I became a widow and needed to buy a car on my own, I was excited to go higher-end and purchase my Buick Enclave, thinking it would last for years. Then in June 2018 transmission or drive train failed but it was under warranty. Then in July 2020 during a routine oil change I had to pay $222. 14 additional work. Was told by local mechanic that none of this was needed. Bottom line, I spent $50,000 to purchase this vehicle and now I certainly do not feel secure driving this car. Living alone requires reliable transportation! hope you will find a solution to help me with this huge ac expense. Apparently the diagnostic test preliminarily cost $200. 00 alone. Which is crazy. Thank you in advance for your kind consideration. Dealer is I. G. Burton, 17861 coastal hwy, lewes, delaware 19958.

The air conditioner stopped working after after 45k miles. This could be a similar problem gm is experiencing with their other brands from 2015 to 2017. We would quoted the repair costs of 1200. It unacceptable for the air conditioner to stop working after such a short period of time due to the fact we live in a cool temperature region of the northeast.

Power steering pump was replaced sept 2017 due to intermittent steering problems when making right had turns generally at lower speeds (78066 mileage). November 2019 same issue (98302 mileage) dealer told me with some cars two years is the life of a power steering pump. I would not be able to control the vehicle if this happened a any rate of speed. Also, the air conditioner has been repaired every year since 2015. Earlier in 2019 the blower on the heater totally quit and had to be replaced.

The air conditioner doesn't work. I have taken the vehicle in at least 2-3 times and have been told nothing is wrong. The most recent time I took it in was about 4 months ago. Yesterday it was 90 degrees where I live. After school, I pick up my kids 3yrs & 7yrs. After about 5 minutes in the car my 7 year old is complaining of being hot. I look back and she has sweat dripping down her face. This is a safety issue especially for anyone that has infants. After being told my air conditioner is fine multiple times, I don't expect hot air to be blowing out the vents in the back when my air is on. The front was not working well either, but it was cooler air coming out, not cold. I assumed the back was the same temperature. If I had an infant that couldn't speak, they could die from heat exhaustion. This is similar to leaving your child in the car for a few minutes on a hot day. Someone could die. I have also read multiple complaints about the same issue. Please do not let a death happen before recalling this issue. There is a hissing sound coming from the front almost everyday. The air conditioner works sometimes, but it usually takes awhile to get cold or doesn't work at all (usually on warmer days). My car has 60k miles now. This problem started a few years ago. The car was in motion in the city street during this incident.

The contact owns a 2008 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that the air conditioning unit was leaking fluid inside the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact noticed leaks coming from the passenger side where the glove compartment was located. The contact also noticed mold growing on the carpet inside the vehicle. The failure was repaired for the same failure one year ago, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the air conditioning unit failed. The dealer (Buick GMC of mahwah, 386 NJ-17, mahwah, NJ 07430, (201)-252-4475) stated that the vehicle was not included in a recall. The manufacturer was notified and stated that there were no recalls. The failure mileage was 138,000.
The air conditioner does not work most of the time. Once in a while cold air will come out but the majority of the time it does not work at all. It seems to have started when my car battery died and I had it jumped to start it.
Reference complaint number: 10876974 heater/air conditioner motor shortly after replacing the power steering pump & rack and pinion on June 17, 2015, my air conditioner began to drain in my car. I stopped at holzhauer motors in cherokee, iowa (authorized dealer) where I had the power steering pump & rack and pinion replaced and stated that my air conditioner was draining in my car. The service advisor pulled the car in the shop and stated that there was a kink in the hose and this kink had happened when they replaced the power steering pump & the rack and pinion. On that visit the service advisor stated that it had been fixed. On January 11, 2016 I took my vehicle in for a scheduled lube oil & filter change. I stated to the service adviser that I was having trouble with the fan not wanting to blow any hot air. And it gets very cold in iowa in January. I was informed by the service advisor that I would have to replace the motor. Because it is not safe to travel in the dead of winter without heat I had to have the motor replaced January 13, 2016. And as of today, June 27, 2016, my air conditioner continues to drain in my car leaving me exposed to moldy conditions in my car, due to the combination of extremely hot conditions combined with a wet floor. Today, June 27, 2016 around 11:30 am I sat at a stop light and listened to my fan die. I tried taking it off of the "auto" control and reset the temperature to the lowest I can get it (currently 69 degrees) and the fan on as high as it can be. There is no cool air. At 3:30 pm today I stopped at holzhauer motors in cherokee, iowa that "repaired" the kink in the a/c hose shortly after June 17, 2015 and replaced the motor on January 13, 2016 and no one in service was available to visit with me about correcting these issues.

I walked out and tried to open my car with the remote and it did not work. So I used the key to get in it and tried to start it and nothing. Then I could not get the key out of it either. I was panicked I needed to get to work. My husband later jumped it and took the battery to get looked at. Nothing was wrong with the battery. I drove it a day later and my air conditioning was blowing heat on the drivers side and cold air on the passengers side. I just bought it in July with 28,999 miles on it. At 36,762 miles there should be no problems.

Air conditioning would run but not cool/cold. A/c high pressure hose ass'y had to be replaced, leaking. One of the fenders had to be removed to do repair. Cost $466. 00.
Air conditioning is leaking due to power stearing hose collar rubbing and vibrating. Several problems with this car since purchase including rebuilt transmission, etc. Design flaw and lemon.
My 2010 Buick Enclave have what is being described by mechanics as a design defect in the high pressure hose valve for the air-conditioner. I first complaint about it to Buick back in August of 2013 when my air conditioner failed to work at the time my vehicle had 24,273 miles. After complaining to the deal how wanted $260. 00 or so to check the problem I called the Buick customer service they were helpful in waiving the diagnostic fee for what was common knowledge that "high pressure hose leaks at compressor" yet at the time they never acknowledge it. In good faith, and because I was a "value customer" I was given and appointment to have the dealer look at the problem with out charge. I must give Buick credit for this as it is good customer service. The dealer wanted $585. 13 to repair the "designed defect" of the hose after the test. Yet, it was common knowledge what caused the problem is based on designed defect as I was told. Needless to mention that the "air conditioner" leaked inside the car cabin from another common problem with the air conditioner. It is all over the internet dating back to a few years and several models. Okay Buick fix the problem without charge but it leak after the repairs this year. Therefore, it is of my option that the problem is a defect on the designed and when my air conditioner is on in long trips it has leaked. What they did was just replace the part with another similar effect of part that would eventually really. My may say "they just repainted the rush but did not fix the cause of the problem". I paid to fix the high pressure hose from some $450. 00 and since my air conditioner is on the leak has "awoken" or the rush reappeared as one may say. Buick should recall these problem and find a cure for the defect. How many complaints are need to recall a defect.
