The mounting bracket welded to the front exhaust pipe (near the flex section) broke off due to weak factory welds. As a result tearing a hole in my exhaust pipe and potentially leading to exhaust fumes leaking into the cabin of the vehicle. In my opinion this defect should be addressed as a safety issue if not repaired.

My vehicle starts displaying traction control on the dash then says reduced engine power and looses power starting until u stop turn it off and crank it back up. Sometimes it runs really rough and you have to crank it back up. The ac goes in and out on it, sometimes it jerks while driving, after having a new transmission put in, 3 starters, 2 batteries! everyone keeps telling me it’s something electrical but can’t figure out what or where. Replaces mass air flow sensor also.

Lateral arms needed replaced at 60,000 miles causing shaking, accelerated wear on tires, increasing misalignment.
My car starting making a loud noise upon start up and continued while driving, sounded like a gocart exhaust system and was not normal. It just sounded loud and would get louder when accelerated until the car ran for awhile. I first noticed it at about 83,500 miles. I took to the dealer for checkup at 83,950 miles when I could get an appointment. The dealer (elco Chevrolet) confirmed the problem upon hearing and looking under the car, there is a bracket broken on the exhaust system and the catalytic converter has a hole/crack in the molding. Our safety is at risk if the exhaust with the crack would create fumes harmful when driving the car and risk of injury if the exhaust would fall off upon driving due to bracket broke. There were no warning lamps or messages from the car. I am submitting this problem as upon discussion with the dealer and investigation online about this, appears that this is a problem with gm vehicles with this make and model, Enclave and travers, however, my year was not flagged for a recall already established. When I tried to investigate with gm they stated it was because my car was not identified likely due to parts or timing. I am asking to further investigate as there may be a problem with the design of this exhaust system that caused this issue early in the mileage of this car. Asking for further investigation into the make and model of this year for the year 2020.

While driving, the vehicle suddenly and without warning experienced a severe, dangerous loss of acceleration. The dashboard immediately displayed a "reduced engine power" warning message along with a "service stabilitrak" light, forcing the vehicle into an immediate electronic fail-safe "limp mode. " this sudden, drastic reduction in engine power severely restricts the vehicle's ability to maintain safe roadway speeds, accelerate from a stop, or merge safely into traffic, posing an immediate rear-end collision hazard to myself and other motorists. Furthermore, the defect simultaneously disables critical active safety systems by shutting down the stabilitrak and traction control networks. A diagnostic scan revealed code p2138 (accelerator pedal position sensors 1-2 correlation not plausible). Investigation reveals that this is a widespread, systemic safety defect caused by design flaws in the vehicle's body. Rainwater and moisture from clogged factory sunroof drains or cowl seams leak directly down into the interior cabin wall, pooling into the primary instrument panel-to-body wiring harness block (x218 connector) in the driver's side footwell. This water intrusion causes green corrosion on the delicate pins, short-circuiting the 5-volt reference sensor circuit for the throttle controls while the vehicle is in motion. General motors is fully aware of this exact defect and has documented it internally via technical service bulletin (TSB) #10-00-89-017h (and related gm tsbs). Because this defect causes unexpected, immediate engine failure and disables traction safety networks while driving, it constitutes a severe safety hazard that should be escalated to a mandatory safety recall.

Formal complaint – 2019 Buick Enclave rear a/c evaporator failure I am filing a safety complaint regarding repeated refrigerant leaks and rear a/c evaporator failure on my 2019 Buick Enclave. My vehicle has 72,000 miles and has experienced two a/c system failures within 60 days. The first freon leak was repaired under a gm special warranty. Only two months later, the system failed again, and the dealership diagnosed a rear evaporator core leak requiring a $3,000 repair. This is not normal wear. Gm has documented this defect in bulletins pit5335, pit5335a, and 16?na?046, which describe rear evaporator corrosion caused by blower?motor copper brush dust contaminating the evaporator. My vehicle is experiencing the same failure pattern. This defect presents safety concerns including: • loss of cooling in high?heat conditions, affecting driver alertness • moisture or fogging that can impair windshield visibility • air?quality risks from refrigerant leaks and potential mold • system failure during highway travel, impacting driver comfort and concentration the rapid recurrence of the failure after a gm?covered repair indicates a systemic defect, not a maintenance issue. Gm refuses to cover the second repair despite acknowledging the defect in its own bulletins. I have owned four new gm vehicles since 1998, including two I kept for ten years each, with no a/c failures. This repeated defect is financially burdensome and potentially hazardous. I request NHTSA investigate rear a/c evaporator failures in Buick Enclave models, determine whether a safety recall is warranted, and review whether gm’s special warranty coverage should be expanded to address repeat failures.

Back up camera has stopped working. When placing car into reverse we get a black screen with a warning signal and picture of camera with line through. This creates a safety issue when backing up with out camera guidance.
The vehicle developed an exhaust leak caused by both weld points on the front exhaust pipe breaking. A dealership inspected the vehicle and confirmed that the exhaust welds had failed, creating a hole in the exhaust pipe and triggering a p0420 catalyst efficiency code. The failure occurred at approximately 31,500 miles. The exhaust leak caused increased exhaust noise and emissions warning codes. The dealership recommended replacement of the front exhaust pipe assembly. This appears similar to known failures on the Buick Enclave and Chevrolet traverse platform where the front exhaust pipe mounting bracket separates from the pipe due to weld failure. Gm has issued special coverage adjustments for similar exhaust pipe bracket weld failures on other model years of these vehicles. The failure occurred at relatively low mileage and appears to be a structural weld defect in the exhaust system.
No first gear. Engine stalls if car is brought to a halt. On take off, car will stall if given too much throttle. If able to roll from dead stop, it will jerk and hesitate as if in too high of gear or dragging clutch.

The trunk latching system malfunction even when it is set to off. When the vehicle is off or running it will open automatically then will not shut unless you turn the car on then shut the car off put on lock then unlock the car. While driving short distances the lift gate will open enough to trigger the alarm. I have woke up my trunk is open. It is safety for me and others due to exposure of material in trunk falling out. Safety for me sitting in car this happens all the time. I have called the dealer they want to charge $90 hr to diagnose and fix it.

Steering wheel is so stiff it over works my arms and shoulder muscles burn it hard to turn literally feels as if the wheels is kind of bumping the frame 5 days steering wheel started to make a weird noise that is now persistent and sounds like a rubbing rubber sound and I have been getting electric shock every time I’m getting out the car and go to close the door since this started making a static like electric sound in the dash over my steering wheel they all at the same time on the same day February 4,2026 scared my car might catch fire.
Catalic converter weld broke both sides now.
The rear powered liftgate on a 2014 Buick Enclave unexpectedly fell without warning while the vehicle was parked and the liftgate was fully open. The liftgate suddenly closed and struck the operator on the head. There were no warning lights, messages, or prior indications of a malfunction before the incident. The impact caused a concussion that required emergency medical evaluation, including a CT scan and follow-up neurological care. The incident occurred during normal use of the vehicle while loading items into the rear cargo area. The liftgate system has not been repaired and remains available for inspection. The component currently appears to operate normally, and the malfunction has not been reproduced since the incident. No prior symptoms or warnings were observed before the failure. The sudden closure of a powered liftgate presents a safety risk because it can strike occupants standing beneath it, including adults or children loading cargo. The vehicle and liftgate system have not been inspected by a dealership or manufacturer since the incident.
The "service airbag - passenger" warning light suddenly appeared on the console of my 2014 Buick Enclave. Once I arrived home, I googled what the light indicated and I also sorted through mail I had recently received from Buick that notified me of a recall. Convinced that I needed to resolve the issue promptly, I contacted the dealership we purchased the vehicle from and they informed me to come in so they could hook the diagnostic machine to the car to determine the codes. I went into the dealership early the following morning (work order initiated at 8:21am). I explained the situation again, and was told that they'd perform a complimentary diagnostic test to determine the issue. The service advisor listed "safety recall - driver front airbag inflator may rupture" [I did notify them that the warning light indicated it was the passenger side airbag]. At 9:00 am I received a text message "to review the inspection and approve the recommendations": customer states service airbag message check and advise [other]: diag, need 1. 5hr diag time to test circuits related to passenger air bag for code b0021 passenger seat side air bad deployment loop. (need toi remove seat to test)$389. 93 -- yes, I approved. But when questioning why there was a charge for the resolving the recall issue, I was told, "it's a different issue than the recall. " then I was told they'd need to remove the seat to get to the wires/connectors for the airbag and that cost would be $519. 90 bypass the air bag connector under the seat by soildering the 4 pin connector together. Interbnal fault in connector casuing high resistance. Also add $44 shop charge. The "free recall repair" cost us $957. 46 (I did ask for the military discount since this was totally unexpected and immersed with the planned costs for the holidays). I feel like this is unfair and inappropriate to charge customers for a service that should have been covered. I would have never come into the dealership had it not been for the recall.
Sunroof leak due to fault drain tube causing the review mirror to glitch, leaking through the headliner and wire harness into the inside of the vehicle. Vehicle is still at the dealership. They have requested and put in the new equipment which upon inspection by dealer service this replacement was also defective and a new part has been ordered.

Dealer jeff wyler Chevrolet replaced car cabin battery & failed to vent battery gas hose to the vehicle exterior. Hose is laying in well of battery compartment & filling the vehicle with hydrogen gas. General motors has been informed & car is not safe to drive. Dealer installed a date altered dead cell battery (fully documented) creating a toxic & dangerous situation with no immediate assistance to resolve or reimburse. My grandbabys car seat is located above this battery compartment & we can’t use our car. Is my car now combustible or explosive?.

On 7/20/2025 the following warnings were displayed: brake system warning light (brake), abs warning light, lane keep assist light is white, automatic emergency braking disabled light stayed on, traction control system (tcs) electronic stability control light stays on. Messages: auto hold unavailable, service brake assist, service esc, service stability control: your vehicle may be hard to control in certain driving conditions, schedule service soon. On page 103 in the owner's manual the warning for the brake system warning light said driving with the warning light on can lead to a crash. Have the vehicle towed for service. I had it towed to a local GMC /Buick service department. My safety and the safety of others were put at risk if the car did not brake. Could have led to a crash. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer. They indicated the brake master cylinder needs to be replaced. ( 7/28/2025 I was told it was on back order, when available is unknown) warning lamps etc have been described above. I had just pulled into the driveway of a friend and got all the warning lights.
There is no manual door unlock for the driver or front passenger. I’ve contacted Buick and the dealership and they have verified in the event of an electrical failure or fire there is no way to unlock the front doors to exit the vehicle.
Anc module is faulty after hvac condensation entered the unit causing it to not work making all speakers nonfunctioning.
I was driving on the interstate and the car just shut off. I was on the left lane and cars were honking and tailing me as I was trying to get off. I could not get off on the left and had to drift across to the right side. Thank god it was downhill. I drifted to the exit and went off onto the grass. My safety was at risk to the fullest. I am very lucky I was not killed as well as my sister! it was the most frightening experience. The car was towed to pensacola step one dealership. The manager of service says it needs a new engine. The car is only 6 months old! no warnings until it shut off, the gas peddle didn't work and I don't remember what it said I was a wreck.
The catalytic converter has been replaced 3 times. The flex pipes has been repaired and replaced 4 times and the exhaust pipes has been welded on 5 times. The back tail pipe fail off while driving and had to be welded. The exhaust on this vehicle has given me many problems.
We have had spark plugs fixed twice in the past 4 months and they keep faltering. Both mechanics changed them.

We experienced a spontaneous sunroof explosion. Vehicle was towed to the dealership. Sunroof is being replaced under warrenty. The vehicle is presently stored underroof at barkley GMC, tuscaloosa, al. After the very loud explosion, I pulled to the side of the road and engaged on-star for a wrecker. There were no warning lights. . . Just a spontaneous explosion . . . Blew out the entire sunroof.
The dealership is unable to identify the failing component or system. The vehicle shuts off while driving above speeds of 60mph, which causes the power steering pump and power brake pump to fail. This symptom of shutting off while driving creates a significant life safety risk for the driver, passengers, and other motorists. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership over 4 times in 3 months. Since the vehicle shuts off, there are no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms prior to the failure.

Electric issues, the recall for the sunroof was not disclosed and was not inspected properly…water and debris get clogged and goes into the in the engine.
Steering wheel airbag warning. Seat belts fraying. The underneath welding for the support bar, potentially the rear axel, came unwelded.
During a rainstorm water is entering the fuse box under the glove box and the carpet and padding underneath is soaking wet on the right front floor. When the fuse case was opened water started to drip out. The engine continues to run with the key off and the only way to stop it is to pull the ignition fuse under the hood. Unfortunately the battery died by morning and I could not get it charged for a few days. Now I have learned how to take the battery cover off which is located in the back of the car and remove the plastic covers under the mat so I can disconnect the battery so it doesn't run down. The rear wiper will not shut off now since this started. I am a 75 yr old widow and wonder how this problem has not been on a recall. It causes a very dangerous situation. I will try to see if I can get it into a Buick dealer this week and pray god it doesn't cost me an arm and leg to repair it. There are service bulletins on this problem and seems to be quite freqent yet I have not received any notifications from you. If this happens at night in a parking lot what am I to do? can the car catch on fire by not shutting off?.
Bracket holding exhaust pipes broke and I'm told it is a hazard. It is over $400 to fix it, I paid almost $6,000 for warranty service contract when I bought my car which doesn't cover it. It looks like this same problem is listed for 2019 but not 2020 which would have covered it if you would list it as a problem for 2020 also. [xxx} please review and hopefully others have let you know also. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
My vehicle stopped in the middle of the highway and was unable to put in drive.
The car stalled and is stuck in park. It has electronic shift and if the engine doesn't run it has to be put into neutral manually. The Buick dealerships don't know how to do this and keep referring me to an obsolete video. One service representative suggested the manual lever is under the air filter housing but they cannot provide any information on this design, the car is stuck in a garage and cannot be towed. It is stuck in place.
The tailgate lifts up and then slams down violently.
The front exhaust got a hole and rusted through as in similar years. This exact issue is covered for both the 2019 and 2021 models of the Buick Enclave under a special coverage adjustment (n212356540 and n222385510), but not for the 2020 model. It would seem to follow that if the year prior and after both have this issue, then the middle year should also be covered under a special coverage as the problem had not been fixed. The vehicle is currently getting service done for this exact issue covered under the special coverage adjustments and poses an environmental hazard as the exhaust is not going through the catalytic convertor and dumping pollutants directly in the the air. The only warning was a rattling noise when shifting and according to dealership is most likely caused by the bracket coming detached and breaking off.
