Ignition not acting like it’s in the right spot like not starting when turning key it moves like it’s loose and turned off while driving. Thankfully was driving very slow and coasted to the side of road when it died at first acted like it was going to start again but it did just drive back home. Just bought SUV from mother in law and already replaced alternator last week.

The recall has been active on my vehicle for over a year now with no means of fixing the issue. I have contacted Buick dealerships in my area and they have stated they have no ability to repair the recall and do not know when or if they will be able to. I do not know what my options are as my vehicle is still financed through my bank but I do not feel safe driving it or having my children in the car.

Multiple times I have been driving along at interstate speed when the mirrors retracted in to the windows of their own volition without the pressing of the button. I contacted nimnicht GMC and scheduled a service for [xxx] of 2024 at their phillips highway location in jacksonville, FL for them to correct the issue. They stated they were unable to duplicate but did flash the computer with an update shown in TSB the vehicle was kept from the [xxx] until the [xxx]. I picked up the vehicle on the [xxx] from their lot and drove it home. On the [xxx] while driving it to work, I again had issues with the mirrors closing on their own 5 times in the matter of 17 miles more or less, including at interstate speed on the buckman bridge. Again, after keeping my vehicle multiple days, they were "unable to recreate the issue. " I received the vehicle back on [xxx] of may. Today, may [xxx], I again had the mirrors close and trained a camera at the mirrors while driving down the interstate and captured them closing on their own without any interaction with a person. You will just be driving down the road and then get the check engine light, engine power reduced, traction control off, and service stabilitrak warning on the dash board. You can be going 60 and it will just shut down with no warning. It's been to the shop 3 times and the issue is still unresolved. This is highly dangerous and could cause an accident.

What does it mean when my car says service stabilitrak and service traction control? its main function is indicating that the traction system has been turned off manually to remind you to turn it back on when necessary. However, the stabilitrak warning light may also signal potential damage to vehicle components that allow the system to work effectively. Loss of power to engine, can't stear, feels like its about to blow up. It seems very usual for the Enclaves, traverses and acadias. And I had the same problem out of my 2014 traverse ltz.

We bought our car in 2021 and shortly after our car started pouring water into the driver seat from the ceiling. At that time we thought it may have been a cracked window window. Actually we weren’t really sure because we don’t use the sunroof or anything really. However, it stopped doing it until around October 2023 when it escalated as it is our only vehicle and we are extremely busy. We hadn’t had the chance to take it in yet then in January 2024, while my wife was driving, water, literally poured into her lap while she was driving from the ceiling which could’ve caused an accident, when we took the vehicle in to get it serviced, they stated something that just sounds ridiculous. Something no one even ever made us aware of and something I’ve never in my whole history of owning vehicles with sunroof have I ever experienced I’ve never had a vehicle pour water from the ceiling , the dealership told us that it was our responsibility even though we have all warranties that you can have an as I’m looking online so many people with 2020 Buick Enclaves are having the same exact issues with the water pouring from the ceiling. We have not even had our car for three years and now our car is pouring water constantly ruining our vehicle and it is a very big safety concern. We have children and waters pouring all over the driver while they’re trying to drive. I believe this is very big safety concern. I do believe that this is some type of malfunction with the design, as I did see a recall for the same problem on a Enclave, a few years older then ours. I pay $600 a month for my vehicle and I do not have $600 to get the situation fixed when I don’t believe that I should have to pay that when my vehicle came with this issue if someone could please look into this I would greatly appreciate it and I’m sure the hundreds of other people on the Enclave recall thread as well. Not to mention the things inside of the vehicle that all this water could damage like my onstar.

We were on a trip home from the holidays about 400 miles away when we heard a huge explosion! the front sunroof exploded and rained glass all over us. It was a clear night with no other cars around. We had to pull over and find something to cover over the sunroof because it was so loud and shooting bits of glass all over us and our dog. We made it home. We are still waiting on insurance to fix it. This really scared us.

When starting our 2020 Buick Enclave I noticed the low voltage battery light stayed illuminated after startup. A message followed on the message center located in the center of the gauge cluster. The message read service electrical charging system. Followed by a message stating low voltage vehicle MA stall. This particular vehicle only has 38,000 miles on it and I have not experienced any issues with the electrical charging system prior to this incident. There have been no indication as to the battery or alternator failing (ex. Dim lights, flickering lights, malfunctioning electronics/electrical equipment, unusual noises coming from engine bay). I acknowledged the messages with the button on the steering wheel. I proceeded to drive and the low voltage light went off shortly after. I proceeded to drive approximately 75 miles without incident. Shortly before arriving at my destination the low voltage warning light illuminated and the messages appeared on the center screen on the instrument screen. I again acknowledged the messages ,but this time the low voltage light stayed illuminated until I shut the vehicle off at my destination. I visually inspected the battery post, connections, serpentine belt, and alternator. Nothing looked out of the ordinary and all connections were tight and free from corrosion. Nothing smelled burnt as it would if wiring overheated or alternator. I proceeded to start the vehicle. The vehicle started without hesitation and the low voltage light was not illuminated. I proceeded to drive to a local parts store which was a couple of miles away. On the way to the parts store the low voltage light came on and the messages appeared. I left the vehicle running at the parts store. The employee tested both alternator and battery. The alternator was showing that it was failing only producing 8. 6 volts to the battery while the vehicle was running. I proceeded to leave the store. At this point all electrical shutdown simultaneously. Vehicle to be towed.
The recall on airbags is not able to be done. I do not feel safe using my vehicle until work is done to drivers side airbag. I need a rental car to use in place of my 2015 Enclave. Help is needed with this issue immediately.

On a few occasions, while driving, the car will shut completely off. In these incidents, wrecks could have been caused. I almost ran in ditch one time and almost hit a stop sign because the steering wheel wouldn’t turn since the vehicle was cut off. The latest incident happened on 10-22-2023. On several occasions, while driving, the traction control light will come across the dashboard “traction control off”, immediately after the engine light will come and another alert come across the dashboard “reduced power. As you pull over or begin to stop, the car will shake really bad and another alert will come across the dash board saying “service stabilitrak.
A known defect that was previously addressed in a previous recall on the 2019 model year is still occurring on 2022 Buick Enclaves with no repair offered by gm. The defect causes a large hole to form in the exhaust pipe between the exhaust manifold and the muffler which could leak carbon monoxide into the passenger compartment and cause decreased engine performance. In the attached pictures the defect hole noted in the recall exactly matches the hole in the 2 pictures of the underside of my car in the exact same spot is the previous recall identified. It’s obvious that gm is still producing defective components and parts and placing them on their vehicles after a recall had caused repairs to previous model years.

Ac issue causing it hot to be in vehicle in this hot drought we are in. Ac blows hot indicating that there is a leak in the system of freon. This needs to be fixed as I was researching I found many others complaint of the same year 2013 Buick Enclave having the same issue. In the south it is too hot and not safe for anyone to be in a vehicle with out a working ac and costly to find issues to fix the entirety of the ac in a vehicle to fix. Please help!.
The hatch door slam down by its self and it hit my daughter and my husband two different times because it slam down with no warning .
I have received four recall notices (dated June 2023, 08/21/2023, 09/19/2023, and 10/17/2023) relative to the drivers air bag inflator may explode. I have reached out to the dealer to schedule the free recall repair to no avail. Each time they have informed me that parts are unavailable. It now has been several months since they have not contacted me for repair or resolution. Occasionally, the service airbag indicator light of the vehicle comes on. Meanwhile, I continue to drive this vehicle at great risk of injury and death. Request help in getting the manufacturer and dealer to expedite in fixing the problem. Thank you.
The rear liftgate locking mechanism failed to latch causing cargo to exit the vehicle where the car behind this car smashed into the cargo causing an accident. For whatever reason the rear door will not lock at all. The fuse was perfectly fine, appears the actuator is defective. No warning was given because the rear liftgate was open and unlatched. After realizing the gate would not close it would notify it was open but the power liftgate operates just fine, and when you activate it, it will push the gate closed and not give a warning until maybe you hit a bump in the road.
The recall that is out on my vehicle right now could cause death and it has not been fixed in a timing manner. It’s been nearly 3 months since the issue has come to my attention and I’m terrified to drive with my three kids wondering if my airbags deploy, how many of us could die.
This vehicles exhaust system has two brackets that broke off the exhaust due to bad welds. There is TSB out for one of the brackets where they replace one cheaper pipe but no mention of the other. This TSB is for multiple years same issue, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. Yet I was told mine is not included by dealer over the phone. There are literally thousands of complaints stretched across multiple sites with the brackets breaking off and exhaust leaking into the car after. This issue is right at the back of engine. It’s leaking exhaust right into the cabin from the venting system to the point we get sick now. It’s $800 I was told to fix the 2 pipes that are faulty. Just bought this 2 years ago and have owned many gm vehicles in last 35 years not one has ever had any issue with the exhaust system. And the one pipe that broke and cost $420 for just the part is also on back order cause they have replaced way more then normal and it’s also the part that’s not under any TSB yet.
2015 Buick Enclave with 19k miles on it and the ac just broke and freon sprayed through the vents while driving. Almost caused an accident as we couldnt breathe and had to pull over.
On February 27, 2023 while on the road in the morning heading to work I stopped at a red light. When the light turned green my 2011 Buick GMC Enclave hesitated when I proceeded to accelerate. My vehicle moved slightly then without notice it stopped in the middle of a busy road as several cars backed up behind me as my check engine light came on. Also, while my foot was on the brakes, my vehicle was rolling backwards. In lieu to this hazard to myself and other drivers I placed my vehicle in park. My vehicle was towed at my own out of pocket expense of $125. 00 in addition to $16. 99 for a lyft ride home. Two days later the auto shop informed me they checked my battery and alternator and both was good. They continued to tell me they drove my vehicle and it did not cut off or stop running. I informed them I don’t feel safe knowing my vehicle shut off without notice could they check it again. They kept my vehicle another day and they stated no codes showed up again that they can point to a specific issue. Again, another out of pocket diagnostic expense of $125. 00. On 02/28/23 I contacted autonation Buick GMC laurel to inquire if there has been a recall in place. The representative stated there was no recall in place. After extensive research and review to my ultimate shocking surprise I see numerous complaints have been expressed with Buick GMC from consumers and previous customers outlining their concerns and this hazardous life threatening situation of their Buick stopping without notice. Buick GMC is aware of this repeated life threatening and dangerous issue from consumers and from previous customers year after year after year. Buick GMC nevertheless still remains silent and have taken no actions no remedy no recourse about amending and correcting the dangers of their manufactured vehicles. Subsequently, Buick GMC have not taken the necessary steps to implement a recall.
As my husband was backing out of the garage to the east and turning the back end to the north so we could head forward out of our drive which is on a curve, the car accelerated and the brakes would not work. We went backwards down a very steep drive that goes to our machine shed and towards the bottom we were stopped by a tree. We could have suffered head trauma from the abrupt stop. If we had been backing out of the drive or a parking place, since we couldn’t stop, there could have been others involved and severe injuries. I called the sheriff’s office and they filed a report. Our insurance agent came out and took pictures. I called general motors Buick and they opened a case. The car was towed to the body shop the dealership we bought it from uses. We noticed no warning lights or messages on the dash. After everyone left, I got on my computer and there were 2 diagnostic warning emails. One for the antilock brakes and the other for the stabilitrac control systems,.

While driving my car in normal weather/temperature conditions, the driver side sunroof literally exploded. There was a very loud bang, like someone fired a gun next to my head, and initially I thought someone had shot out one of my car windows with a gun. Upon seeing it was the sunroof I then thought an object had falled through the sunroof window. However, upon inspection, the sunroof window glass was actually blown from the inside out. See attached photographs. There was no prior apparent damage/crack/chip to the sunroof glass or mechanism. There was no sudden change in weather, internal or external temperature or pressure inside the car at the time of the explosion.
The engine light has come on and a diagnostic check has been made and I was told it needed the transmission replaced. This car has only 112,000 miles on it and has been maintained. Why would there be transmission issues with low mileage?.

Squealing noise when using steering wheel. Even if the car is heated up for over 20 minutes. Steering wheel slow to turn or hard to turn. Happens everyday now. Took to a dealership and they are advising that will cost almost 3k to resolve issue. Will have to send invoice once I pick up vehicle.
At least 3 or 4 times, the car has remotely started itself while the key fob is in my pocket. Two times, the car was in my closed attached garage. To remote start the car, I would have to press and release the lock button on the fob, then hold down another button for four seconds. At times while I am working around the house or garage, I hear the car beep, indicating that my movements pressed the lock button. On the times mentioned above, evidently my movements pressed the two buttons, causing the car to start. I mentioned this to the service department of our Buick dealer, dave cross motors in lee's summit, mo. They were not too concerned, and said that the engine would shut off after 10 minutes. I feel this could be a health concern. If the car did not turn off after 10 minutes, carbon monoxide could build up in our attached garage, and injure or kill us. Also, if someone broke into the car while running like this, could they steal it without the key fob being present. I have never had problem with my 2011 Ford f150 that has it's key fob on the same key ring.

Sunday at 11 ish am eastern time I started the vehicle to get grocery items. The mileage was approximately 68680. The tire pressure warning light and air bag light came on along with the alerts to service air bag, side view collision, tire pressure, parking assist was shut off. The radio began to randomly shut off and reboot and the lower controls (heated seats, gate lift etc. ) would not work, also the turn signal noise would go in and out. Tachometer and speedometer were slightly impacted. Monday I stopped at the dealer after making sure the battery connection was good- there has been no fluctuation of power according to the gauge or even how the items are alerting and the fact my door panel buttons to lock and unlock were not working. They were unable to detect an error with their handheld device even though all those alerts were going across the screen. Appt set for 10/20 at noon to go on the big computer (and probably cost my car payment just to see what is wrong) today (I only have one car and was not offered a loaner even though we agreed it was a safety issue) the traction control light came on and off, the speedometer and tachometer were greatly impacted, the rear camera stated it needed servicing, my liftgate will not work even using the rear handle and sounds like there may be impact in the drivetrain happening as the gear select icon stayed on r for over 500 feet driving forward. There was no hard start, cold day or jump given- also compass is not working either. The radio will randomly say communication system is not working/connecting which appears to impact my onstar. I have seen other issues for this year online and very concerned what electrical item it is going to impact next. I have children (k and college) and it is bad enough I have to use my car to get to work. This will happen in park or going down the road at 55/60 and every speed between.
Rear door with the automatic open/close feature. While accessing the rear portion of the vehicle (looking in boxes, accessing under floor storage compartment, etc) I have experienced on several occasions where the door starts to close. I was able to turn around, push the door upwards and the door stopped closing and reversed to the open area. This happened to our Buick Enclave that we own in canada. The dealer was able to find on Buick's database where this was documented and the suggested solution was to "turn this feature off using the "control knob located in the driver's door". My wife and I are 80 and this feature was one of the reasons that we purchased this model new in may 2020. So solution that Buick has offered is not the greatest. However, my wife is disabled and if the rear door had started to close on her, I do not think that she could have stopped the door from coming down. I will be notifying the canadian highway vehicle association of this problem. But seems to me that Buick has a problem with the design of this system and is not addressing it. Are you aware of this problem with Buick Enclaves 2018 -2021 in the USA? [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
The power lift trunk closes unexpectedly. It has been doing it a few times and it is very dangerous as it does not stop when something stops it. It closed on my head and pushed me inside the vehicle - it injured my head with the impact drawing blood. It is scary how dangerous this is!!.
After any amount of rain, the vehicle will not shut off after turning the key to the "off" position and removing the keys. The vehicles dash lights all go off with the exception of the "check engine light". The vehicle remains running. I have to pull a fuse to get it to shut off. Then, the next morning I have to jump it to get it to start.
This vehicle has an auto stop start feature that the dealer refuses to override. The problem is that if you are stopped to make a left turn, the engine stops. When you need to go when there is a break in traffic, there is a hesitation to get going just when you need instant power. Also at stop lights or signs you tend to keep tapping the brake to keep it running resulting in a dangerous situation. Also if you are stopped and forget and get out of the car, it can start up and run into something. I just want the ability to disable this dangerous feature.

While driving in single digit temps in icy road conditions in traffic using the brakes a lot my traction control light came in and I got a service your traction control system and engine power was reduced causing me to not have control of the vehicle in heavy traffic and dangerous road conditions. Traction control will not come back on after the vehicle has been turned off and restarted. Road conditions were so bad traffic was moving 5-10mph on highway. The reduced engine power happened as soon as I started turning right on another road due to how slick the highway was.
My husband had the key in his pocket upstairs in our house. It accidentally activated at some point by his bending /sitting. The car remotely started and we did not hear it. Only because our pets became upset did we discover the running car in our closed garage. We were able to turn it off and vent the garage of CO accumulation.
Broken rear sunroof clip to hold sunroof shut close there is no replacement part and sunroof stays open!! part was made out of plastic and im sure more people have broken theirs too especially if they have kids.
Rear sunshade clip has broken twice in the 5 months.
In 2017 the timing belt failed with less than 100,000 miles on the vehicle. Timing belt replacement was over 2000 dollars. 2018 the check engine light came on india sting an issue with the caytalic converter. Have not repaired but vehicle will dye while driving. It quit working on interstate and I had to coast across five lanes to shoulder, where I was able to restart vehicle. This also happened on 2 lane highway. 2020 airbag light came on, stayed on for a few days and went out. Hit bump in road airbag light returns.
