Vehicle lost power and stalled on interstate hwy 07/29/2023. Gm dealer heartland chevy in liberty mo. Repaired replacing fuel tank and sensor due to failed sensor in tank. 08/08/2023 vehicle again for 2nd time rough idling and staling out several times on hwy. Currently at dealer who diagnosed with fuel sensor issue and still at dealer. Vehicle has approx. 20,000 miles 2023 Buick Enclave.

Alternator produce too much electricity. Energy travels through power cable. There is a 200 amp fuse attached to power cable. 200 amp fuse did not function. Sending too much energy two air compressor burning up air compressor. Melting also of power cable. Spitzer Buick of findlay ohio told me I was lucky I brought it in when I did "potential fire". Power cable is made in china according to the tag that's attached to the power cable.

There are a couple of issues causing our concerns about the car. 1. Alternator - the alternator was reported went bad after only 4 years of usage, the dealer refused to pay the fixing cost for this. Due to the failure of the alternator, the car lost all the power in the middle of the road with our entire family in the car during the night, very dangerous. The car suddenly stopped at the road with 50mph speed limit. 2. Engine and catalytic converter pipe - the engine light is on due to abnormal feeling of the engine power, the dealer could not fix the issue in weeks and no rental car provided and we were asked to drive the car home and waiting for order status of the parts. 3. Exhaust system failure - the dealer mentioned the welding of the connection is bad ( still under warranty ) but refused to fix it but ask the customer to pay for the replacement and labor.

This vehicles exhaust system has two brackets that broke off the exhaust due to bad welds. There is TSB out for one of the brackets where they replace one cheaper pipe but no mention of the other. This TSB is for multiple years same issue, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. Yet I was told mine is not included by dealer over the phone. There are literally thousands of complaints stretched across multiple sites with the brackets breaking off and exhaust leaking into the car after. This issue is right at the back of engine. It’s leaking exhaust right into the cabin from the venting system to the point we get sick now. It’s $800 I was told to fix the 2 pipes that are faulty. Just bought this 2 years ago and have owned many gm vehicles in last 35 years not one has ever had any issue with the exhaust system. And the one pipe that broke and cost $420 for just the part is also on back order cause they have replaced way more then normal and it’s also the part that’s not under any TSB yet.

I started my car at a cvs parking lot. When I made a turn, the car was out of control and I couldn't stop or turn the car. My car hit other three cars in the parking lot and finally stopped. The obd-ii code check later indicated a "engine misfire detected". I once got a recall letter from gm for the following issue. Not sure if this accident is related to this issue. "inoperative purge solenoid that could lead to excessive fuel vapors entering the combustion chamber from the fuel tank. This condition could result in no start, idle stall and possible drivability issues such as hesitation. " the good thing is nobody got hurt in this accident.

Check engine light illuminated due to transmission clutch not being adequate in manufacturing. Transmission causes motor to shudder due to clutches slipping. Whether in automatic or manual, when accelerating in low rpm, the entire car begins to shudder instead of downshifting. Transmission has been replaced twice, with no corrections. Happens every time the car is driven.

The contact then stated that while shifted to park, the vehicle inadvertently started. The contact also stated that she heard a screeching sound in the wheels while shifting in the first gear, and intermittently in second and third gear. Additionally, the contact stated that the check engine warning light was previously illuminated; however, after driving the vehicle, the check engine light turned off. I purchased my vehicle in 2020. In 2022 I experienced an issue where my car stopped in the middle of the road without warning. Despite several attempts to try and move the vehicle off of the road the police were notified and my vehicle was towed. The vehicle gave an error code that conditions not met for driving. One office tried to put the vehicle in neutral but the wheels locked and the shifter was locked as well. The battery has been replaced 3 different times since I have owned the vehicle. A mechanic friend of mine (who is a trainer for GMC) hooked his computer up to it and found no issues. He did find a loose wire which he the reconnected. I was able to drive my car for 6 months before the same thing happened, same situation the vehicle just stopped in the middle of the road only this time I couldn't turn the vehicle off, we had to manually disconnect the battery and again the police came out due to traffic hold up. My car was towed twice afterwards as I could get the car running for a few minutes before another error. To date my car has been sitting in my driveway since March of this year, this time it won't hold a charge and will not even start. Im not sure if this is an engine or an electrical issue. I did call 2 Buick dealerships that told me that it would take about 5 hours to diagnose the issue where I would be charged per hour at the mechanic hourly rate. At this point I think my vehicle needs to be recalled, even if I could get it repaired I dont feel safe driving it. Thankfully it stopped on a minor freeway and no major incidents occurred.

My 2009 Buick Enclave cxl, VIN 5gaev23d79j118427: engine caught on fire during the time I was driving it. The car hesitated as if it was going to shut off then I saw smoke coming from underneath the front hood, I pulled to the side of the road and stopped the car and open the front hood, my engine was on fire. The fire was located on the passenger side of the car or the left side of the car if you were facing the front of the car. I tried to put the fire out, but the fire got out of control. I called 911 and the fire department and police arrived. My car was being repair due to the fire.

The check engine light comes on and off. The dealer pulled code p0008. Engine position system performance bank. There is a bulletin out for this code, indicating the crankshaft moves and gets out of time. They said the only fix is to replace the crankshaft. The dealer advised replacing the engine, since the cost is about the same, $9,864. 21. I have kept up the maintenance on the vehicle, and it has only 132,820 miles.

Engine revving, would not shift even after taking my foot off the accelerator. Had to pull over and shut the car off. After restart, it was very hard shifting but the engine wasn't revving, engine light stayed on. Engine revved between 3,500-4,500 rpms without shifting. The car can be very jerky when accelerating from a stop and shifting the first time or two.

Evaporative emission canister purge, solenoid valve, yes. My safety was at risk due to stalling 3 different times on busy roads/intersections after refueling my vehicle. When the solenoid valve and canister fail when coming to a stop after refueling it causes the car/engine to flutter and completely stall then goes into neutral. It takes multiple restarts in order to even make the car go along with pressing on the gas. This part has been replaced twice by the dealership once at the end of March and again on the 10th of June. The first incident occurred mid-March, the second end of March and the latest incident occurred 7 June where I had to restart it 7 times before it would even drive, at that time my check engine light was on and it was making a loud noise. After this last replacement the vehicle was refueled and it started to flutter and idled hard, it will be taken to the dealership once again on the 20th of June. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other than dealership. There were no warning lights prior to the failure, the only indication was the car started to flutter prior to stalling. The most recent date is stated below.

Engine stalled multiple times while driving. Fuse box under hood loose and threw a code p1682. Only threw code once. No other warnings. Engine just cuts off with power til to dash and other dash components.

Vehicle has been to gm dealership many times for problems related to reduced engine power, stabilitrack, and traction control issues. Dealer replaced relay switches, problem appeared to be fixed. While driving on a busy road, engine power reduced, stabilitrack, and traction control warnings illuminated. Car reduced speed nearly causing an accident while driving and power steering failed. Police needed to help remove car from roadway. Ecm replaced, appeared fixed for awhile. While driving on highway 54, same warnings illuminated and car slowed itself from 60mph to under 30mph. Numerous complaints can be found about the 2013 Buick Enclave and other years and this problem. I believe it will cause an accident and kill someone one day, if it hasn't already. Class action suit was even filed, and unfortunately dismissed. I'm afraid to drive my car. It is at the dealership again and we've only owned it since February 2022.

Sunroof messing up electrical system clogs up easily radio and everything else don't work right electrical all messed up because it clogging sunroof crankshaft won't relearn.

The contact owns a 2016 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while accelerating from a complete stop uphill, with his children in the middle rear passenger’s seats, the vehicle stalled. The check engine warning light illuminated. The contact shifted to neutral and allowed the vehicle to roll downhill to the side of the road. The contact turned off the vehicle for 10 minutes. The contact restarted the vehicle and was able to continue to drive to his destination; however, the failure reoccurred that night, upon accelerating uphill from a complete stop. The local dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 118,949.

The contact owns a 2011 Buick Enclave. The contact stated while driving approximately 55 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that the timing chain needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact called and made the local dealer aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 123,825.

The contact owned a 2008 Buick Enclave. The contact stated while driving at 20 mph, a warning message indicating that the vehicle was overheated illuminated. The contact pulled into a nearby parking lot. The contact then opened the hood of the vehicle by engaging the power release button inside of the vehicle. The contact saw black smoke and flames coming out from underneath the hood. The contact immediately exited the vehicle. The contact attempted to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher but was unsuccessful. The contact was able to extinguish the fire with the assistance of the fire department. A fire department report was filed. There was no injuries sustained. The vehicle remained at the scene. The local dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist as the VIN was not included in a recall associated to the failure. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 10v240000 (electrical system). The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.

I bought the vehicle in December 2020 from a dealership in mason, ohio named borcherding Buick GMC. I asked, specifically to make sure the vehicle did not have any issues, especially transmission issues and for this to be researched, as well. I was not made aware of bulletin no. : 18-na-358, which affected Buick Enclave models from 2014-2017. I purchased the vehicle and sent a wire transfer for the purchase price to the dealership through my bank, usaa. We began experiencing transmission slips about a year into the ownership, and I had my mechanic look into the issue. He had just replaced the transmission on my wife’s 2011 Dodge grand caravan previously when it experienced a catastrophic failure and had to be replaced. This is the reason I asked to make sure the transmission on the 2014 Buick Enclave was working correctly and properly and there were no known issues. The mileage of the vehicle was under 60,000 miles at the time of purchase, so this should not have been an issue for the vehicle at all and the previous owner was, apparently, an elderly woman who had the vehicle serviced at the shop, but I cannot confirm this. The point being, there was a known issue with this vehicle that was not disclosed to me that general motors was aware of and could have led to me not purchasing the vehicle. We needed an SUV to drive my wife and daughter(s) to and from volleyball tournaments and something that we did not have to worry about. The result is a replacement transmission paid for by me out of pocket by a gm dealership. Gm refuses to acknowledge their faulty transmission. The rebuilt transmission is experiencing the same issues the old one was and gm wants me to take it in and have it “looked at”. The transmission is faulty! they know this and they refuse to reimburse my costs and refuse to acknowledge the dangers this transmission imposes to drivers and our families! please investigate this transmission and their engineering.

The car has an auto-stop feature however at times, when the car is stopped, the entire electrical and engine shuts down even while the car is in drive. The driver must restart the car and put the car into park and then back into drive. When the car restarts, several lights/messages turn on including "service transmission" and the "service parking brake" message and parking break light. This is a safety and hazard issue as it has happened while in traffic on the freeway when at a standstill.

Loud engine rattling noise on startup of 3. 6l v6 then check engine light came on. Carl black gm Buick dealer replaced valve actuator solenoid, but engine still making the rattling noise on startup. Danger of timing chain and valve phasers not synchronizing causing valve interference with pistons and engine damage and failure in high speed traffic on atlanta GA freeways and 2 lane side roads.

The contact owns a 2012 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while his wife was driving 45 mph and approaching a stop sign, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact managed to coast the vehicle to the shoulder of the roadway and attempted to restart the vehicle however, the vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the piston rods failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact then towed the vehicle to an independent mechanic for a second diagnostic test which confirmed the result from the dealer. The vehicle was being repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximate 140,000.

The contact owns a 2019 Buick Enclave. The contact stated while driving downhill, he shifted to a lower gear and was depressing on the brake pedal however, the vehicle inadvertently accelerated. The contact also stated that the rpm was very high. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated he continued driving but had to stop 5 times to allow the vehicle to cool down. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer. The mechanic found no failure with the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

Vehicles timing chain keeps going out had it replaced 3 times and the problem the vehicle is having still consists the vehicle constantly hesitates to start.

This vehicle has an auto stop start feature that the dealer refuses to override. The problem is that if you are stopped to make a left turn, the engine stops. When you need to go when there is a break in traffic, there is a hesitation to get going just when you need instant power. Also at stop lights or signs you tend to keep tapping the brake to keep it running resulting in a dangerous situation. Also if you are stopped and forget and get out of the car, it can start up and run into something. I just want the ability to disable this dangerous feature.

My truck started to jerking while I was driving. When I went in the dealership to get a piece for my inter rim was missing. Started the truck. Went into reverse. When I started in drive wouldn't move forward. Haven't had any problems until today. I had to leave it at the dealership for a diagnostic. .

Tl- the contact's daughter owns a 2008 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while her daughter's boyfriend was driving up a hill at an unknown rate of speed, a flame had ignited from the engine without warning. Her boyfriend exited the vehicle, checked under the hood and saw that the engine was on fire. A fellow motorist witnessed the situation and assisted her daughter boyfriend by giving him a fire extinguisher which the boyfriend used to extinguish the fire. A fire report was not filed and no injuries were reported. The contact's daughter had the vehicle initially towed to the contact's home where it was then towed to independent mechanic. The mechanic informed the contact the cause of the fire was due to a "mechanical defect" and was given an estimate for a repair. The manufacturer nor the dealer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000. Jo.

The throttle - position sensor is not working properly and engine started acting up while driving.

The contact owns a 2010 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that after entering the vehicle, there was a knocking noise coming from the vehicle prior to starting the engine. After starting the vehicle, the noise became louder. While operating the vehicle, the check engine warning light remined illuminated and a humming noise was present. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who indicated that the transmission gear was faulty. The vehicle was serviced however, the failure persisted. No further information was available. In addition, after refueling the vehicle would not immediately start up. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 120,000.

2010 Buick Enclave with 116,164 miles, just over 10,00 per year, engine developed a spun rod bearing and quit while driving. Steering lost power and engine stopped. I had to push it backwards to get out of an intersection. I had just started a right turn. 22 month earlier the timing chain stretched on the vehicle costing $2000 in repairs. Oil was changed every 5000 or less miles and used mobile 1 synthetic oil the entire time. This and owners of earlier model years report this same problem from this vehicle. A well maintained vehicle should not have these two problems which points to some failure in design or manufacture. Vehicle is now junk.
