I have a p0420 code on my 2014 Buick Enclave for about a year now. Almost everything related to engine performance was replaced because no one could believe that the catalytic converter went bad - even at the dealership - on a 4 year old car where the aftermarket catalytic converter has a 5 year warranty. I spent over $2,000 so far replacing one thing after another at the dealership's advice because they did not even know the reason for the fault. Now I know it is the catalytic converter because the exhaust started smelling bad whenever the car is running. Gm/Buick should investigate why its catalytic converters are failing and fork the bill on fixing it.
