Low beam headlights randomly turn off while driving at night and day. Causing not to be able to see the roadway at all. Very dangerous!!! they give no warning at all. Only the low beams do this. Bright lights are not affected. There was a recall for this issue but they said my car was not affected. But it is 100% affected by this recall. Ot seems like the headlamp driver module is overheating. It gets extremely hot. This issue almost caused a very serious accident .
My head lights would not work, the inside tire light would not go off, also the oil light stayed on, had these checked and was told the body control module was bad, had it replaced. Cost $505. 76.
About one year ago, I received a recall notice regarding the exterior light relay. Actually, this was an intent to recall since I'm still waiting for the actual recall. Had the relay replaced two week before the initial notice. Went to dealer, they said they couldn't do anything until I received an official notice to bring the car in. "still waiting. Replaced the unit a second time. It failed. On December 28, replaced the unit a third time along with a battery shut off switch. Guess what??? this too failed. . . Within 24 hours!!! do I need to purchase a few dozen of these relays in the hopes that gm will come out with a fix?? please help.
Nhtsa recall #14v755, one year and nothing done. Loss my driver side low beam and replaced bulb, not sure if this was really problem or not.
I received a recall notice in January 2015 that was discovered November 2014 according to gm recall info. It is gm safety recall 14291. I checked today, Dec 21' 2015, and gm indicated there is no remedy yet. This seems like an excessive period of time. Maybe NHTSA should investigate.
My exterior lights went out twice last night, while driving down the interstate (approximately 70 mph). I was able to put my flashers on and get off each time. After about 5 minutes they would come back on. I am not sure what caused the issue, but it is very concerning. I did a google search and apparently this is a common problem with the Buick Lacrosse. But I can't seem to find any kind of recall addressing the issue. . .
Purchased a 2007 Buick Lacrosse less than 2 months ago. Within the first month the low beam head lights went out. Took back to the dealer and they replaced the head light module. No the low beams are not working again. Now the dealer is telling me I have a faulty fuse block under the hood.

Question why it's taking Buick so long to supply parts for the lighting malfunction associated with NHTSA recall # 15v51900 or Buick's recall #14291. The part is a simple relay. It's been 18 months since the recall was announced. Still no notice from Buick to schedule a repair. How about NHTSA look into why.

I was driving back from georgia at 4:30 am pitch dark and my headlamps cut off. I was next to a semi and almost crashed into him. I had to use my brights but could not figure out how to keep them on so I had to keep flashing them to see. Since then I've had to drive at night tonight on may 23, 2015 at 9 pm and my lights do not come on at all now. The only way to get home once again was to drive with my brights on. I had my brother test the lights and they come on and cut off randomly at will. This is not safe and they should be recalled.

I went to my mechanic. He was able to get a temp hmd replacement part in about 3 days. He installed the temp replacement part and explained to me what happened to the disfunctioning hdm. That was in 07/2014. My Buick was in the recall for the hdm malfunction. Upon receiving the recall letter, I took my Buick to the dealership and was informed there were no replacement parts available at that moment. I should check back or receive a phone call from the dealership when said part would be available. I explained that the part was replaced prior to the gm recall. The recall notice was on 01/2015 from global vehical safety in milwaukee, WI. As far as the dealership, I never heard anything back from them. On 10/27/2015, I submitted a reimbursement claim for out of pocket pay according to the instructions stated on that form, to the dealership. After 3 months of no response from the dealership, I went in and talked to them directly. They stated that a perm replacement part was not available yet so my claim would not be processed until gm annouced a part was available and a second letter was mailed to me. Another 2 months passed and no calls or letters from gm or the dealership. I went in directly to the dealership again and they said they have to wait for an "official" authorization from gm to start the claim process. I feel as if gm and the dealership are not working on this matter to the fullest or even any effort to resolve this situation. It's funny yet sad that my mechanic replaced the hdm in roughly 5 day or so, which by the way, is still performing perfectly fine. Yet this major auto company(gm) cant resolve this issue with the hdm part. Really?! someone needs to take a closer into this situation. I ,personally, feel as if gm and the dealership are trying to turn away from this "major" problem so many are effected by. (update-mrs allai passed away 11/2015. I am her son).
