Steering Noise Problems of Buick Lucerne

The contact owns a 2006 Buick Lucerne. While operating the vehicle, a grinding noise was heard from the steering column. When the vehicle was turned off and restarted, the power steering malfunctioned and the steering wheel became very difficult to turn. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 30,000.

Off and on scraping noise in steering column when turning right or left. Usually occurs in cold weather and disappears after driving a short distance. The car often pulls hard to the right making it hard to keep on the road. I have to keep alert so it does not cause an accident. The dash lights have a mind of their own sometimes they work and most of the time they don't. I have had the car in for repair several times for both issues but was told they can not do anything as it doesn't make a noise in the steering when I bring it in. Also the dash lights have always come back on after I drive the 35 miles to the dealer where I bought the car. I have a gm 1-year or 12,000 mile warranty on this car it will soon expire.
