Caller complained about rotor problem. The rotors began pitting and started to rust. Caller could feel the brakes not holding. The car would not stop. Caller said both rear rotors were rusted. Caller had rear rotors replaced a few weeks ago and now he needed to replace the front as well. Dealer said it was out of warranty and they could not help . Manufacturer offered no help. Caller took vehicle to another mechanic to have the work done.

The inside of the rear rotors rusted and as a result the car wouldn't stop. This is the consumers fifth vehicle from gm. When the rear rotors rusted it caused the front rotors to overwork and resulted in the front rotors warping. The rotors are not yet repaired.

Front brake rotors rusted at only 17,000 mi. Was told car not driven enough.
Rusted rotors caused clunking noise at the rear end while braking. Nlm.
Brakes pulsated: dealer turned rotors @15,200 mi. (no charge) the vehicle is 9 months old and I've had the rotors turned. The pulsation returned 12,000 miles later, (now 8 months since rotors were machined. ) along with "traction control" warning lite, "anti lock breaks" lite and "service soon" lite. Dealer's written comment: "cause:. . Shorted. " dealer replaced "e2320 bearing and hub assmbly, front wheel- replacement right. No charge. " "front rotors out of round-work declined. " work on the rotors was declined because the dealer and general motors will not waranty the rotors. The assistant service mgr said, "rotors get hot, sometimes they warp when driven through puddles. " on a gm recorded line a customer relations agent said that it is not uncommon for rotors to be turned every 15000 miles. If that were the case, I'll need new rotors when my break pads finally need replacing. The dealer never claimed that my driving is at fault. He never indicated excessive wear on the break pads. My contention is gm installed inferior rotors on this vehicle, or perhaps calipers are sticking which may create enough heat to warp the rotors and cause the sensor failures I mentioned earlier.

Brake problems, pulsation in brake pedal. Replaced front rotors-blue from overheating at 707 miles. Brakes vibrate, turned rotors & replaced glazed front brake pads at 1154 mi. Brakes pulsate, replace booster brake assy. At 1641 mi. Brakes pulsate, replace master cylinder at 4926 miles. Brakes pulsate, replaced both front rotors at 13,462 mi. Brakes pulsate, replaced front and rear rotors (paper thin and blue) at 14,431 mi.
Front rotors warped. Mjs.
Both right and left rotors warped. Violent shaking in the steering wheel and vibration occurs after being on highway, causing poor steering conditions and poor stopping power. The rotors were resurfaced, not replaced which leads me to believe that this may occur again.
I purchased vehicle new around December 23, 1997. The vehicle had approximately 500 miles on it. I noticed that when applying brakes the was a vibration (felt like a pulse) in the vehicle and could slightly feel the vibration in the steering wheel. Owners manual advised one may feel the abs release and reengage while applying brakes. Vehicle was only driver about 6000 miles a year. At about 8000 miles the vibration became so severe I had to take vehicle to the dealership who advised that brakes where not covered under warrenty but they would turn the rotors for free. At about 15000 miles (and now out of warrenty altogether due to past 3 years olds) had to have rotors turned again. Within a few thousand miles had to have new rotors and brakes. Within a few hundred miles of new rotors and brakes the problem came back and is severe but I cannot afford to keep replacing rotors every few hundred miles. The brake pads always appear to wear normal but the rotors are always warping. The vehicle still only has 42000 miles and is over 5 years olds. The vehicle feels unsafe to drive. I feel this problem was possibly known to gm prior to my purchase and that gm still refuses to recall the Buick Regals with this problem.
Rear brakes grind excessively, rusting and warping rotors. Owner has used emergency brakes for adjusting, no change. Tt even the the right rear brake is still grinding, dealer keeps infroming consumer that this is normal, consumer feels vehicle is unsafe to drive.

Brake rotors wear in the rear with low mileage accumulation. When brakes are applied they drag, screech and perform poorly. Owner is aware of others with similar failure. Please describe details.
Brake rotors are rusting and prematurely wearing, cause unknown. Please give any further details.
Premature wear of brake rotors. Intermittently when brakes are applied vehicle vibrates. Dealer has replaced rotors twice, and problem reoccurred.
Brake rotors heavily rusted, causing vibration.
Rear rotors rusted.
When appyling brakes they are noisy due to warped rear rotors which had to be grounded or quickly fixed. Please give any further details.
