1. I have a 2005 Buick rendezvous with only 48,000 miles on it. One month ago the service traction system light/abs/tracking off lights kept coming on. I just bought brand new tires in may 2007 and approx one month later I heard a bad roaring noise coming from what I thought was the tires. I thought it was because they were brand new and would probably be somewhat noisy. Then the lights started coming on. The brakes grind also some of the time and it seems to feel like a car slipping on gravel. I took the SUV to the dealership where I bought it and they told me that the left front abs jumper harness is defective and needs replaced and also the hub bearings both need replaced to the tune of $1030. 00. My warranty ran out just this year and there is not an extended warranty, but not even sure if this type of thing would have been covered. I have never heard of such a thing going wrong with a car. I haven't had this vehicle very long, nor have a ever abused it or hauled anything with it. I take very good care of it. I read on a website that everyone who has a Buick rendezvous regrets purchasing this lemon of a car and have all the same problems that I am having. Gm was called and they will not help me with this, even though this is a nationwide problem with the car. Something needs to be done and everyone needs to be reimbursed for the mountainous problems they have had.

I have a 2000 Buick Regal. In June 2005 three warning lights started showing up on my dash "check engine", "anti lock brakes" and "traction control system off". The light stayed on for 1 week and then went off. Thirty days later, the light came back on and stayed on for 1 week and then went off. I took the car to the williams family auto mall dealership (where I originally purchased the car and have had my car serviced) to diagnose the problem. They told me the anti lock brake system needs to be replaced and it will cost me $3,200 to fix. The car has 80,000 miles on it. I declined having this fixed because I do not have that kind of money to repair the car. In the middle of August, the three warning lights came on again and have stayed on since them. Now that I see the recall notice for gm's trucks and SUV's with anti lock brake system problems I wanted to see if my problems are related to the recall. I also wanted to see if there is anyway I can have my car repaired along with this recall notice. Its not right for such a system to go out with 80,000 miles. In August 2005, I also has the power steering go out on all left turns. This was a major safety issue and I had to pay $1,000 to have this fixed. This also happened at 80,000 miles and again, in my opinion, should not have gone out. I had no choice but to repair this problem because I could not make any left turns with the vehicle. I took the car to the dealership for an estimate which was $2,300 who said the "rack" was out. I then took it to a local garage, dempseys, and they said the "pinion" part of the steering was out. I had the car fixed at dempseys for $1,000 with refurbished parts and the problem is fixed.

Anti-lock brake and traction off warning lights are displayed on the instrument panel. Two previous times since July 2004 this has occurred. Three different components of the anti-lock system have been changed. I'm concerned about faulty equipment and the anti-lock brakes not working in the event of a crash.
The vehicle experiences intermittent noise coming from front end when vehicle is backing up. The consumer stated that the noise appeared to be coming from the abs. During a test drive the technician also heard the noise but was unable to identify the problem. The dealer contacted the regional service technician who indicated that the abs noise was normal.

"service vehicle soon" light comes on after driving a few miles along with the "anti-lock" light and "trac off" light. Reading the Buick manual, this indicates some sort of braking system problem which would explain why once those lights came on, I had to press the brake almost to the floor. Dealer stated "I don't see a brake problem at this time. It's an ignition switch problem. " what????.

Brake pedal slowly decends all the way to the floor when appling brakes. In normal braking a small tap would make the brakes react and the pedal stayed firm and would not slowly decend to floor. I took it into sudbay (the problem occured the whole half hour drive). When I got there, the brakes were again functioning normally and did so all the way to work (15 minutes). When I left work this evening, it was acting up again.
Consumer contacted the dealer regarding recall number 99v170000 /manufacturer's recall 99033, abs brakes. Dealer refuse d to correct recall.
While driving at 45 to 50 mph hit another vehicle on the left side. Consumer applied the brakes, but vehicle was swerving to the left and right. And there wasno power steering.
Consumer tried to stop vehicle, she couldn't because the brake pedal went all the way to floor, vehicle did not stop on time and brakes fluid was all over. Also, there was a recall before regarding abs brakes, recall performed by installing clip to prevent rubbing, new location of shifted brakeline path resulted in rubbing two inches from original location, request manufacturer to reevaluate recall repair.
Vehicle has shakes severely when brakes are applied. Could cause loss of control of vehicle and crash.
Consumer expriencing ongoing problem with braking system. Whenever driving a winding noise appears to be coming from the wheel, and when the brakes are applied the vehicle would jerk intermittently. Aslo, learned from an independent dealer that the vehicle's front end was shot, and needed major repairs. Dealer notifed, but no correction was made at this time. Brakes continue to give consumer problems.
Recall repair refused by dealership (99v-170). Yh.
Front rotors were warped at 25,000 miles and required surfacing. The second dealer surfaced rotors correctly. When the rotors are slightly warped the abs cycled every time the brakes are applied increasing braking distance. Upon parking the car on a slight grade and restarting the abs cycles. With foot on the brake upon letting up to back out the abs cycles and releases the brakes. The steeper the slope the farther you roll without brakes. More than eight feet in some instances before the brakes reapply. The dealer and Buick service state that this is normal.
While traveling at low speed brakes locked up. As a result, driver lost control of vehicle.
Severe brake rotor distortion (all four wheels). Resurface of rotors failed to correct. Dealer replaced all four rotors and all brake linings at 23,000 miles. Abs system also activated without cause when going over bumps. Dealer relocated wiring away from wheel/axle assembly.
While driving applied brakes and pedal went to the floor. It felt like they were going to respond, but vehicle kept rolling into an intersection, the consumer had to avoid an oncoming vehicle an d ran into an fence. The dealer has been contacted.
When brakes are applied pedal gets hard, resulting in extended stopping distances. The dealer has replaced the brakes 4 times.
Consumer is being denied recall repair 99v17, the dealer is stating that this particular vehicle is not included.
