Brakes continually overheat and cause the wheel covers to become almost too hot to touch. Brakes, rotors, calipers, pads and brake fluid on both front and back just changed last week and the problem persists. Gas mileage is down almost 10%. No warning lights on.

Starting at about 10,000 miles there was a very distinct rubbing sound when applying the brakes in a non-emergency situation (it reminded me of the sound brakes make when they have too much wear and usually it's an indication the brakes need to be relpaced). At about 15,000 miles I had the car serviced and the dealer stated no problem with the brakes. At about 29,500 I had to have the brakes and rotors replaced. About 5,000 miles after the brakes and rotors were replaced the sound has started again. It sounds as if the abs is constantly engaged but this happens whenever pressure is applied to the brakes. I'm convinced there is a brake problem that has nothing to do with normal wear and tear and I'm concerned the brakes will fail in an emergency. The dealers seem unable to identify a problem. Does your agency have any records of brake problems with the 2001 Buick Regal GS?.

On three occasions the vehicle accelerated out of control. After second occasion, vehicle was towed to dealership. Dealer could not find a problem. On (5) or (6) occasions the brake pedal has been extremely hard to apply. They popped and cracked. Because this does not happen when taken to dealership, they have stated that nothing was wrong with the vehicle.
Consumers has been experiencing numerous problems with the hydraulic system, the rotors, and brake pads have been turned and/or replaced due to them being out of round and noisy.
Brake system failed.
Extremely loud noise from the brakes when backing out from a parked position while applying the brakes. Windshield leaks at the location of the rear mirror light wires, and drips on the gear shift area. The passenger side mirror and the driver side mirror are two different colors, which might indicate the vehicle was in a wreck. I was given no history of repairs on this automobile . An "alamo" sticker was attached to the inside of the trunk lid.
When applying the abs brakes the pedal travels to the floor, causing extended stopping distance. Cause unknown. Please give any further details.
Brakes perform poorly causing loud noise.
