Was driving my 1997 Buick Regal GS 3. 8 when I had my son in the car went to turn left and when in the turn all the lights start to flash and the car shut down . . Had to have it towed later to find out it is the ignition switch now car is sitting will not start all lights flash will not crank or turn over . . . Before all that happened when I would make a left turn you could hear a clicking coming from the drivers side tire and the lights would come on . . . Everything you touched on the steering wheel , turn signals , windshield wipers anything would make all cluster lights come on and shut down the car . Thank god knowone was injured or killed.

I just review your "complaint" segment. I found no fewer than 8 complaints relative to owners of 1998 Buick Regals experiencing the very same and dangerous problem with their vehicles. I. E. The car dying when the turn signal stick is actuated. Why is there no recall since this is a life threatening situation? there were other complaints about this vehicle dying while in motion. If one of your staff members were injured or killed, would this be a better reason to nudge gm to do a voluntary recall for those affected with this
problem? I just want to believe that someone cares. Sincerely. Joseph wojciechowski.

At night if the high beam lights are on, and I meet a vehicle while moving through a right curve, the dimmer switch cannot be activated because it hits the back of the steering wheel. Since this occurs almost every time I drive at night to go home, I'm afraid it could blind another driver and cause an accident. I have gotten bad reactions from other drivers when I can't dim the lights and meet them on the road. (I don't want to be the victim of road rage. ) I have experienced this problem since I bought the vehicle in 2004. The switch broke a few years back and it was replaced, but the new one still had the same problem. The dealership said that was the only model of switch in his catalog. It has a design flaw. It the turn signal handle was designed to be push away from the steering wheel instead of pulling it toward the steering wheel, there would be no problem.
Turn singals dont work, even when replaced. I have the worst time with the drivers side turn signal. It has cost me alot of money to repair, but still doesnt work.
While driving, consumer tried to use the signal lever, however it would not work. Mechanic replaced the multi function switch.
Turn signal switch is defective. This is a $600+ repair per the dealer.
