My driver's side headlight is out, condensation inside the headlight as well. Bought $106. 00 halogen replacement bulb and light still isn't working. After looking for others with the same issue I see this there is complaints and recall for "some" models of the 2013 Buick Regal (turbo premium 3) specifically by checking my VIN for the recall. Obviously having the exact same issue other Regal models of same year were recalled for.
My passenger headlight went out and did know till I got a ticket. I have taken it to a repair shop for repair two times and they found that it is not sealed properly. There is corrosion under the headlight assembly due to it collecting water. How can this be fixed I have heard that this is a big issue please advise on what can be done to help everyone affected.
Headlight keeps burning out. It has been replaced 5 times also driver seat heating works for 1 min and turns off.

Condensation/water getting inside hid headlight option tf4.
My drivers side hid headlight assembly developed condensation inside the assembly causing a headlight failure. Though the car is a 2013, it had only 64000 miles on it when the condition occurred. This is obviously a manufacturing defect since there has been no impact to the headlight assembly and no visible break in the seal.
Tl the contact owns a 2015 Buick Regal. The contact stated that the driver's side headlight was filled with moisture. The contact was concerned that moisture in the headlight housing may cause the headlight to become inoperable while driving at night and possibly cause an accident. The diagnosis was confirmed by an independent mechanic. Karp Buick (400 sunrise hwy, rockville centre, NY 11570, 515-665-1739) was contacted and informed of the failure but provided no repair assistance. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 34,500.

Driver side headlight assembly amasses ounces of water / condensation causing bulb and ballast failures - I've removed the assembly twice to replace the ballast and bulbs costing $100. 00 per attempt only to have to replace them again within a week. Passenger side is dry and crystal clear - absolutely a defective part and it costs over a $1,400. 00 a side. Driving with a single headlight is illegal and dangerous. Gm is well aware of the problem and refuses to address it.
The driver's side headlight has an issue with the seal (no visible cracks or damage to the light) which allows water/condensation to accumulate in the headlight. This ends up blowing the bulbs and fuse. Even after replacing the bulb and the fuse, the light still will not work. After replacing the fuse, the daytime running lights no longer work and there is apparently an electrical issue with the wiring harness that causes a short in the lighting (see attached video). I was driving at night when my driver's side headlight completely stopped working. There is no indication to alert the driver when this happens. I only knew because it happened at night and drastically decreased my visibility (rural area with no street lights). This is obviously a huge safety issue. I've contacted Buick and was told that there is no recall and that it's not covered due to my vehicle being outside of the warranty. The entire headlight assembly needs to be replaced and is approximately $1,500 to replace (not to mention the $100 bulb that I had just replaced that blew out). After researching this matter, it appears that there are multiple complaints for the 2013 year model with hid lights. This seems to be a common problem and there should be a recall for this. This vehicle fails to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment. " something needs to be done about this!!! the manufacturer will not correct this issue if you are outside of the warranty unless they are forced to by a recall.
Both headlights went out while driving at night. Mechanic told me I needed new ballast.
Driver side headlight is retaining water/liquid. When I bought the car in 2015, I was told that my tires were new; then 2 years ago, I was told that I needed to replace two of them. Now one of the two original pirelli tires has pits and clears chunks missing from the tire base, as well as many cracks throughout the entire tire! lastly, the car has a habit of locking the doors on its own and keeping them locked, thereby making it impossible to get in. The most recent time, I called onstar. . . And didn't even speak to anyone, but they miraculously opened and the remote worked fine. . . Again! vehicle has under 49000 miles on it! vehicle has always been serviced by arnold chevy / Buick and no one else! OH, and just a complaint from when I purchased the vehicle: I was never told the car needed premium gas for best turbo performance; I was told that after owning the vehicle 3 years, after the warranty expired and I complained of the engine lagging.
Condensation in headlight causing the bulb to quit. Get new bulb for $150, change bulb, it rains, it happens again. Am told a new assembly is $1500. This is a common issue with this vehicle. Seems like it should be fixed by Buick.
The driver side headlight assembly holds water and moisture and light can not come out very well it's a known issue and should have a recall on it.
Water seems to be leaking in headlights, causing blowout headlight hid.
The headlight assembly seal is allowing moisture to accumulate in the headlights causing dimming & low lighting, the headlights to go on & off periodically without warning and causing the assembly wiring to melt, causing more damage and electrical problems. While my husband driving to work in the early morning on the highway, the headlights suddenly stopped working and had to use his high beam lights and only one headlight working. This happened approximately 6 am on 1/6/2020. Gm has been aware of the problem since 2010 on several of their gm vehicles. No recall has been issued.
Hid driver headlight assembly became full of condensation and stopped working. Quote from dealer to replace entire assembly is $700 plus labor.
Condensation, water accumulation in driver-side headlight assembly. No damage or cracks in headlight. Diagnostic at gm dealership stated that water accumulation is due to bad seal; entire headlight assembly must be replaced. Consumer contacted general motors to request assistance through a customer satisfaction program. Gm stated and that seal/condensation is not their concern until there is a safety issue and noted that the bumper to bumper warranty expired.
Tl the contact owns a 2012 Buick Regal. The contact noticed condensation in the driver's side headlight and that the fuse was blown. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The local dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 34,000.
My car has been blowing light bulbs very frequently. I noticed that the wire what is chard and burned and naked resulting in the wires touching each other and causing my lights to fail. I replace the wiring harness once and two months later the insulation was burnt off of the wire again. There has been 2 instances where ive been driving and my headlights have went completely out at night time and I live in a rural area where there's not a lot of street lights. It almost caused me to wreck. It's not just my vehicle that has this issue. I have three friends who either drive a Regal themselves or have a close family member that has one and all three of them have told me that they're experiencing the same issues. This is definitely a safety concern. And if it were to happen to somebody else who was maybe not so lucky it could have caused a fatal accident.
Both headlights let water from rain in. Both hid bulbs have been replaced several times. I've had headlights go out at night. Had to park car and call someone to come pick me up. Gm needs to fix this problem before someone gets killed from there headlights going completely out at night and causing an accident.
Hid driver headlight assembly became full of condensation and stopped working. Quote from dealer to replace entire assembly is $1800.
Condensation, water accumulation in headlight assembly. No damage or cracks in headlight. Bulb went out. Purchased new bulb to replace and replacement did not work.
The passenger headlight keeps melting the harness the light bulb goes into. I've replaced it 2 and this will be the 3rd time. Noticed when I was pulled over for a fix it ticket. Second time I noticed the lights were uneven and the 3rd time it was pointed out by a toll booth attendant.
Vehicle collected condensation inside the driver headlight assembly causing a shortage/burn out of the projector for the hid system. $1244 was the cost of replacement light assembly, which didn't last long before the projector burnt out again. This manufacturer defect needs to be recalled, especially with the replacement cost between $1000-$1600! this vehicle will not illuminate a check engine light for safety warnings, nor will it store codes that have already been presently printed out at occurring times.
Driver side headlamp has condensation in it causing it to quit working. The car was taken to the garage and was told that this is a very common problem with the Buick Regal. I was given a repair cost of over $1600. I was also told that this will probably occur again. There was no indication that my headlight was not working until I was driving down the road at night and another vehicle flashed their high beams at me.
Driver side headlight began developing moisture inside and the headlamp ultimately failed.
Front drivers headlight fills with water. Causes light bulb to explode. Condensation is I. The headlight. The amount of water that came out of the headlight was about 10 ounces. No visible cracks or damage to headlight.
Takata recall - there is an issue with the ballast in the hid headlamp assembly for the cxl turbo model. The seal may be faulty due to the headlamp shorting out except for the daytime running lights. They shorted out right after a heavy downpour and I was stopped by a police officer and told that they (the headlights) were out. I got out of the vehicle and looked at the the lights only to realize that they had malfunctioned and there was moisture in the assembly itself.
The front headlights get water in them and fogs up. . Causing your headlights to look dim at night.
The contact owns a 2013 Buick Regal. The contact stated that his headlamp housings constantly filled up with condensation causing the bulbs to fail prematurely. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the ballasts and bulbs were replaced and the headlamp housings resealed. Mcguire Buick GMC (1625 us-46, little falls, NJ 07424 (973)200-6699) was contacted and the contact was informed that the warranty was expired. The contact was provided an estimate of $3,000 to replace the headlamps. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 30,000.
Both driver and passenger headlights constantly show condensation/water in the headlight assembly after it rains. At one point, the condensation caused the premature failure of the hid ballast, an loss of headlight. In viewing a Buick Regal forum, this seems to be a common problem on this model car and gm should be responsible for fixing the problem. Vehicle can be stationary or moving. Rain causes the faulty headlight seals to show the problem. Happens on a regular basis when it rains. Images to large to send.
