My security light came on and the headlights, radio, door locks, began to click off & on repeatedly. I pulled over and turned the car off, and it went away for a while then returned. It has since done it periodically and is now stuck in he security locked mode.

Update: prior issues were due to bcm failure which that was my assumption based on numerous owner reviews. This part is a major safety issue if fails and Buick is aware and won't recall. These should last for the life of the vehicle. Occasionally one will go bad but shouldn't. The fact that many Rendezvous models face this issue of failure prematurely shows that it is a defective product! many have almost dies due to this failure. Car shutting off and lights going out while driving down highways/ expressways.

I had a transmission repair at an ammco transmission outlet. As a result of the repair my instrument cluster was not working the first day the car was declared repaired. I left the car with the repairer who told me a second transmission would be installed. I was told approximately ten days later my car was repaired. When the car was picked up a second the time the problem was not resolved. I was told it needed to time for the computer to reset iteself. That never happened since I found out later that the computer was in default mode and was not communicating with the transmission. Aamco pretended to tell me my car was safe to drive throughout this ordeal. The same night I received the car back my exterior lights went when my car glitched again. I almost hit the side of the mountain because there was total darkness. My complaint is that there is no oversight of secondary repair shops. I have tried hard. No one should go through what I have been through. This mechanics used many excuses but in the end it was a pinched (best word I can utilized) wire that caused the problem. After being turned down by four local mechanics the problem was fixed by the dealer. No one was wants to step forward to explain my problem. However I have documents to show that my electrical system was working fine prior to this repair. The attroney generals office in PA has limited authority on this issue and cannot help me. These people need oversight someone will be killed or already has.

Engine completely dies making it impossible to steer. It willl turn on right away, go a few miles and then dies again. It has been serviced, the trottle has been clean, fuel filter replaced, spark plug wires and spark plugs have been replaced to no avail. We've even changed tramission fluid and filtered.

The contact owns a 2004 Buick Rendezvous. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The anti-lock braking system, heating system and the all-wheel drive disable warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was maneuvered to the side of the road. The vehicle was able to be restarted. The contact also stated that when refueling, the fuel indicator gage would remain on an empty reading. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnosis or repair. Body control module. I have seen numerous complaints on websites this needs to be recalled.

The car can get started immediately. If the car runs, parked and turned off it takes several times to start. Everything in general in this car is very cheaply made and we will never buy a Buick again. Not reliable.

We found out that we had a problem with my wife's vehicle. Initially, the vehicle was stationary. I took it to get an oil change and was asked to come into the shop to be shown that the antifreeze was like yogurt in the reservoir. We were told that we needed a coolant flush. This led to being told that we needed a new radiator; bypass hose; and last but not least, head gasket job amounting to approximately 1600. 00. We were told that there was no open recall but yet there was litigation going on regarding dex-cool antifreeze and that it was causing all of the problems that were and are having with this vehicle.

Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Buick Rendezvous. The contact stated while traveling approximately 50 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact had adjusted a wire in the electrical box and was able restart the vehicle. The contact was not been able to start the vehicle without adjusting a wire in the fuze box intermittently. The vehicle was taken to a repair shop who diagnosed that the fuel pump assembly and the fuse box had needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.

I purchased a used car from jim doran auto center3075 n hwy 99w po box 598 mc minngville, or 97128 503-472-3131 this vehicle was advertised as a "cream puff" meaning the vehicle was in excellent condition and after I received it in California it cost me over $3,000 in repairs. Please remember that even know the SUV sold to me by this dealership was sold (as-is) but advertised and a car in excellent condition. I have paid over $3,000 in repairs to this car just to bring it up to pass a dmv vehicle inspection for California. Some kind of resolution to satisfy me monetarily for the repairs for the false advertising that this dealership posted online for the sale of the vehicle. The car sold to 2004 Buick Rendezvous sold (as-is) but the SUV was advertised as a "cream puff" being in excellent condition and it's been anything but! the value of the vehicle is just under $6,000 in excellent condition and this vehicle was not even in fair condition.

I was driving down eastern and stewart in las vegas nv when the car stalled and would not start again while trying to coast into a 7-11 parking lot hit a wall and car rear ended me . I replaced the fuel pump, ecv and the vehicle worked fine there was gas leaking from the ecv now I cant get the car to start at all I believe it has to do with the electronic ignition system.

Rear liftgate handle switch no long works to open the rear door. Key fob still works but concerned this will fail also for the rear liftgate access and egress.

Valet person was parking my Rendezvous in Dec 2012 and said as he applied the brakes to stop he noticed flames coming from hood. 2,000 in damages. My biggest complaintis that I have had to replace the head gaskets twice in the past six years. I keep being told there should have been a recall because gm has been aware of this problem. I cannot afford to purchase a new car now with all the repairs ive put into this, and its probably not worth much. We have always bought gm vehicles but we may think long and hard because once their off the lot it seems no one cares and no one wants to back up their product.

While traveling from utah to iowa on interstate 80 with the cruise control set at roadway speed. After some time the speedometer kept climbing while the speed of the vehicle decreased. After stopping at a rest area the speedometer never moved. It was just stuck at approximately 112 mph. Luckily we were given a gps with speedometer built in as a gift. Leaving the rest stop, we continued our journey, and by the time we made it to iowa the speedometer gauge was facing straight down whether we were stopped or driving road speeds. We did not take it to a dealership immediately because we have three small children and after sitting in the car that long, we could not justify sitting at a dealership for hours on end. Around five days after arriving in iowa, the speedometer started working again. This greatly confused me, because when something breaks on a vehicle, it tends to stay broken. On our travels back to utah the samething happened to the speedometer, so as soon as we arrived in utah, I dropped my spouse and children off at home, and took it to the dealership. I explained the problem and my situation and they came to the conclusion of a loose or broken connection deep behind the dash. Here is the "kicker", according to them there was no recall for this said problem and that it would cost $600 to fix. As I am not the original owner of the vehicle it was purchased as is from a dealership in iowa. I unfortunately do not have $600 to spend to repair the vehicle. We now have 86,365 miles on a vehicle that the speedometer no longer works. I cannot see how it is not a safety recall, but I am not in big business. So I feel I am taking the appropriate steps to fix the problem for not only myself, but all the others' comments that I have read.

There was a recall on this vehicle in 2004 for the rear hatch. I bought my vehicle 2006. Just wanted to know if I am responsible for out of pocket expenses as I was told by suttle motor corporation?.

We drove 6. 4 miles from our relatives house to a restaurant. When I parked, my wife noticed smoke coming out from the front of the vehicle on the passangers side. I told her to exit the vehicle and I released the hood latch. When I opened the hood the flames were visible. I called 911, prior to fd arrival the flames were put out by someone from the restaurant. The brake line had rusted out and the brake fluid leaked out onto the exhaust system catching the electrical system on fire. The response from Buick via claims admisinstrator bryan schwartz they claim no liability due to braach of warranty. I claim this brake line should not have rusted out after only 60,000 miles. At 59,411 miles this vehicle was serviced @ vyletel Buick included in this service was a multi-point vehicle inspection including the brake system (also including lines,hoses and parking brake) no issues were noted.

The headlights, dashboard instrument cluster, and radio, cd player, interior lights, and tail lights on my 2002 Buick, Rendezvous kept going out for no apparent reason while driving on the freeway. I took the car to the shop and they said it is the body control module. It is my opinion that this malfunction is a very serious problem. In my situation the several times that the lights went out, I was in a dangerous place (on curvey highway between pennsylvania and ohio at speeds between 55-70mph) the situation when the headlights and dash lights were out could have had fatal consequences especially when tall hills surround curvey freeways and roads and such as a deer crossing the road or worse yet, a person on the side of the road. The problem is still occurring and the bcm keeps malfunctioning every few minutes turning off all lights and dashboard clusters and it costs too much for me to fix-almost $1400.

Transmission clunks, jumps and shifts at the wrong times and at the wrong speeds. This can be felt and heard as a loud bank and whole vehicle jerk by all passengers. Unnerving as well as concern for safety. Two trips to the dealer without any solution.

Opened car at end of workday, and found an electrical fire had melted part of the dashboard, part of driver's seat and cracked the front windshield. The entire car was covered in soot and smelled of electrical fire. There was no prior indication of a problem, nor had there been any recent repairs.

The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000 and the current mileage was 103,000.

When hot outside 80+. The lights go out, the dash keeps flashing on/off, the security system locks up, the ac stops working\, the radio stops working, the door locks stop working etc etc etc. We have taken it in to my mech and he can't find problem. We are taking it back to the dealer and make him search for the problem. I am reading that it is the bcm on these cars.

While slowing down or at stop lights, car will just stall. So far it has restarted every time. Mechanic can not find any problems. Frustrated and afraid to drive far from home. I have also replaced right side wheel bearings at 42,000 miles.

The contact stated that he was unable to tell what the actual amount of fuel in the vehicle was. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technicians replaced the main computer module and the fuel gauge. A new sensor was also installed in the fuel tank. The failure continued after the vehicle was repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.

40,000 miles trans went out. Starting grinding incident @same time.

Speedometer worked erratically showing wrong mph. This was similar problem with other gm vehicles that resulted on a law suit and settlement. Speedometer was defective and the same sub - contractor produced these units. Gm refused to make good on this.

Speedometer often reads the wrong speed, fuel gauge does not work properly, sometimes the rpms are also off! has been happening for over 6 months!.

Lose all gauges, and lights in the car. Car continues to run. Happens from several times a minutes to every few seconds. Now security check light comes on and car is locked.
