Noises During Shifting Problems of Buick Rendezvous

The contact owns a 2005 Buick rendezous. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, she noticed a loud noise. There were no warning lights. The vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic who informed the contact that she needed to replace the front wheel bearings. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and advised her that the vehicle was not included in any recalls. She then stated that while driving after a stop and trying to shift gears, it was very difficult to do so. The vehicle had not been inspected or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted who advised her to take the vehicle to a certified dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

While driving 65 mph vehicle suddenly lost power, was not able to shift any gears. Managed to pull over to side of road. Vehicle was towed to dealership, and the mechanic said that problem was had to with the transmission. The transmission began to slip and make noise while driving. The vehicle was towed and repaired. One week later the transmission suddenly failed while driving. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where they overhauled the transmission. The consumer has not faith in the transmission. The front left and right bearing separated occasionally.
