6 Power Train problem of the 2005 Buick Rendezvous

Failure Date: 01/01/2018

It feels like the transmission is going out but only sometimes. On occasion it will be driving fine then I go to pull off from a stop and it just wont really go like maybe skips 1st gear or at least part of it. It's crazy and dangerous. I do not believe it to be the transmission. Only happens from complete stop, sometimes. Buick Rendezvous 05.

7 Power Train problem of the 2006 Buick Rendezvous

Failure Date: 11/14/2017

Car kept running hot and no remedy was found for it. Batteries and other repairs were done concerning the electrical things; but the car running hot was never resolved even with replacing the thermostat etc. I could only drive about a block and the check cooling system error came on and the car speed would automatically slow down and the engine would automatically cut off if you continued to drive it while hot. . . . Smoke from the hood etc. Would happen. Could feel intense heat when raised the hood. If the car was stationary. . . . After running for a while it would still run hot and eventually the hot light would come on in the inside warning panel. The last mechanic took it apart and never put it back together, neither fixed the car running hot problem. The uploaded files and pictures will show the condition my car was left in and the auto parts taken aloose/apart and not reconnected.

9 Power Train problem of the 2007 Buick Rendezvous

Failure Date: 06/24/2016

Car would not shift from reverse to the park position. The car's shift cable had broken leaving the car in an unsafe reverse position. Turned off the car, set the parking brake and called to have the car towed to a repair shop. The repair shop replaced the shifter cable and stated this is a common problem with this gm platform, to the point the shop keeps the replacement cables in stock. This is a safety issue and I have read that gm has a recall out for 2014 shifter cables experiencing the same problem.

10 Power Train problem of the 2006 Buick Rendezvous

Failure Date: 09/22/2015

I have a 2006 Buick Rendezvous that I paid $11,000. For having it for 2 years now I have trans problems at 93,000 miles with the transmission. Started not shifting into 4th gear, had the 3/4 shift sensor replaced same thing, then had the pressure control sensor replaced same thing. Looked up consumer complaints and see page after page of people having the same issues right at 92,000. Apparently this is an issue. Now the dealer wants another $5000. To replace it. I have a lemon and I want it fixed or replaced. That's $16,000 for a $9,000 car. Really come on gm step up your game. My family depends on this car and without it we could lose everything. I am disabled and a vet of the us marine corps.

16 Power Train problem of the 2004 Buick Rendezvous

Failure Date: 12/16/2013

The speedometer stops working correctly. While traveling at highway speeds the speedometer will read anywhere between below 0 mph and 30 mph. It happens regardless of the weather. There have been multiple occurances that the speedometer is working correctly, (confirmed by calculations using time, mile markers & odometer readings,) and at any point during travel it will stop and the needle is observed to gradually drop below the 0 mph mark. Sometimes restarting, whether by turning off the ignition or using the autostart to remove the key while leaving the vehicle running, will temporarily correct the problem. The problem was noted by an independent mechanic at the end of September while addressing potential transmission issues. (which also has not been resolved. The mechanic was unable to find a cause to "hard shift" problem that began several months ago. ) the currently mileage on the vehicle is approximately 81,200 miles. It is being taken to a mechanic this week to address the issue.

17 Power Train problem of the 2003 Buick Rendezvous

Failure Date: 05/12/2013

I was looking up info on my car found there was recalls on my specific problem. The transmission shifts very hard with poor engine performance. It idles high and at times it sputters taking off from a stop. I am afraid one of these times it will stall and will end up in an accident. We had it hooked up for a diagnostic it came up trouble code p0742. This is our main transportation and the car used to transport our son. I would really like to get this fixed before it becomes a major issue or a problem resulting in a new car or accident.

18 Power Train problem of the 2005 Buick Rendezvous

Failure Date: 01/24/2013

When we reach speed of 60mph it starts jumping in and out into a higher gear. This car has a transmission problem.

19 Power Train problem of the 2006 Buick Rendezvous

Failure Date: 07/17/2012

I plugged my cell phone into the car charger in the front console. When I returned to the car after about 15 minutes, it was filled with smoke that was coming out of the car charger. I immediately unplugged the charger. I tried to start the car and it was completely dead. After examining the fuses, I noticed that the one for the charger as well as the one for the interior lights was completely melted. After further research it was discovered that the wiring harness under the dash was completely melted - had I not gone out when I did, the car probably would have caught fire. This should never have happened - there should be safety features int he vehicle to cut the power to the charger immediately if there is a short. It was towed to the dealer last night. They are claiming this is not covered by warranty though this is obviously a problem with the Rendezvous. Besides this - the check engine light has been on twice, the transmission is about to go, the alarm system never worked as well as the remote start. They sold me a vehicle with known issues and don't want to stand behind it. I don't think I will ever buy a Buick again.

While driving the brakes will start to lock up and cause it hard to stop this will continue until the message comes up that the traction is off. 27 Power Train problem of the 2004 Buick Rendezvous

Failure Date: 05/01/2007

2004 Buick Rendezvous awd light came on and has never gone off. It came on when we had less than 30k miles on the car. We have had our car to many, many mechanics. None are able to fix this problem. One told us we needed all new tires, we bought new tires, one said it was the alignment we had it aligned. One mechanic went through the car and charged us 3 hours of labor to tell us that he did not know what was wrong and nothing appeared to be wrong. Another suggested we contact the dealer must be a central computer system defect. Called the dealer and he stated there were no warnings on this defect. Awd is something we wanted when we purchased the vehicle. I have done a lot of research online and many other owners of this vehicle have had the same problem many, many mechanics and no fix to the problem. The owner's manual states that without this working it poses a safety hazard to the driver and occupants. We want to get this repaired but can't afford to keep spending money to investigate a problem no one can fix. Kindly investigate this.
