Other Fuel System Fuel Gauge Problems of Cadillac CTS

This vehicle has had thousands of complaints about ecm related problems. Every complaint is the same. The computer causes the temp gauge, fuel gauge to stop working, the tc light & antitheft lights to come on, and the key being stuck in the ignition. It renders the car undriveable because the temp & fuel gauges stop working. I have researched this and there has been the exact same issue with thousands of cars!!! when I contacted Cadillac about this they said I would have to pay hundreds of dollars for a diagnoses fee. The contact owns a 2005 Cadillac Cts. The contact stated that the lights on the instrumental panel became abnormally dark, the fuel gauge failed to read the fuel level and the key could not be released from the ignition. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who inspected the vehicle and advised the contact that the security system failed and could possibly cause the vehicle to stall. The manufacturer was also contacted and advised that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number 06v020000 (fuel system, gasoline) the vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 48,392.

2003 Cadillac Cts. Car fuel gauge went to empty resulting in car to die. Speedometer and tactometer spiked then fuel gauge went to empty. Fuel gauge was either full or half full each of the times. This problem has occurred 6 times. Taken to three different dealers with none being able to diagnose problem. Fuel pump was replaced, computer gauges reset but with no solution to problem. Serious issue, as 4 of the times the car died, the car was on freeway. Problem has occured 3 times since stated incident date.
