Fuel pump was failed replaced under recall back in 2016. Now again the fuel pump has failed again vehicle stalled. Please have gm repair it again under previous recall remedy. Please see attached photo.

Gas leaking from above gas tank took car in for service 5/6/24. They could not duplicate issue on 5/24 engine light comes on. On 5/26/24 code indicated fuel pump issue. Several months before all of this, I would notice a strong gas smell after driving.

Ever since I purchased this 2008 Cts vehicle, I have dumped thousands of dollars to repair the vehicle even after the "recall repairs". Problems persist and the car has become more dangerous than ever. The vehicle had inspected by the dealership a number of times the first 5 years of ownership the first 3, listed below, were the replaced recalls from dealership, the rest are known safety issues that gm denies to admit to faults and recalls. *ignition starter replacement (still have starter failure issues after 2 repairs from gm) *washer fluid warmer removal (they just snipped the wires and removed the component but left hot wires exposed in vehicle) *motherboard ecm replacement recall(ecm is still faulty and has caused dozens of electrical issues. **************** battery drains over night. On my 6th battery (just bought new one 3 days ago) gauge cluster never recalibrated and is completely disabled. Don't know how fast im going how much gas or any other info related to. Sunroof constantly leaking, flooding vehicle and destroying the electrical components which fried many relays including the door lock and power window components vehicle refuses to turn but cranks on fuel often will not allow a fill up ecm throwing irrelevant codes headlight failure due to seal defect that allows moisture into headlight casing frequent oil loss. 2018: vehicle engine failure whilst driving on freeway with zero warning nearly causing a fatal crash. Purchased new alternator (shade tree auto in san clemente) and had to pay 2000 for tow and alternator transmission failure and near miss collision into another vehicle on a steep incline road I have taken this vehicle to a multitude of repair shops and auto supply to get a diagnosis. Even the dealership didn't have any answers. Now I am out of a car. And money. These issues had been confirmed by rorick Cadillac, shade tree auto, oreily, s and s auto, auto zone.

The fuel pump is leaking gas on top of the fuel tank. I just bought the car and didn’t know about the consistent problem with second generation Cts. The problem is stated to ba a plastic elbow attached to the fuel pump that ruptures. There is a fuel smell inside while I’m driving and around the car when the car is motionless. This a fire and explosion hazmats that is common to this model year. I can see some fuel on the side of the fuel tank. From reading , I can see that gm has recalled other vehicles for the same problem. I believe that the first generation Cts was recalled and the second generation was not included. Replacing the fuel pump is a very expensive a labor intensive process and I would like to have 2009 Cts included in the recall.

My 2009 has 112,000 miles on it. Over a period of time we started to smell gasoline . Thought it may be simply from putting gas in the car. The smell got stronger. Fortunately we had to have a tire replaced. The tire service owner advised we had a major gas leak and advised us not to drive it far. End result was we had a fuel feed pipe that was leaking. Please know we had been driving our 4 year old nephew and 1 year old niece in the car. Final bill was over $2300. Leaking gas !! how can that not warrant a safety recall? searching the web for information about others having the same problem I discovered others did. Please go to Cadillac forums for starters. Please review and advise. More safety issues for the Cts involved a seat belt that was worn down and a passenger front door that would not open from either the inside or outside. Fuel supply stops and engine stalls when I get near or below 1/4 tank. I can restart the engine and it will run for anywhere from a few seconds to sometimes a minute, but mostly only a few seconds. Limp my car this way to a gas station, fill the tank, problem solved. I know it had fuel in the tank as it only took 11 gallons with my 16 gallon tank. Installed a new fuel pump, problem continues. This can put someone in a life threatening situation. The first time it happened I was passing a semi truck on a 2 lane interstate with cars and trucks behind me. Just as I got half way on the semi's left, I'm doing about 70 mph, the engine stalls. Luckily, I kept a cool head and turned on my blinker as the car slowed down. The semi behind me took a hint and backed off so I could coast to the right shoulder. This could very easily have caused a fatal accident. It has since happened 3 or 4 other times.

Timing chain has been loosened and possibly ready to break. Service bulletin #11340c was issued and gm/Cadillac never contacted me for the special coverage repair. They are now refusing to assist me. While driving vehicle there was burning rubber smell and car hesitated, failed to accelerate while driving on a busy county road in danville indiana.

Rear differential seal leaking midas told me when I had the oil changed right after I got the car exactly one year and one day ago today and there is like a weird noise when I drive but if I turn the heat or air in it stops.

First ecm module needing to be replaced, we replaced it then after that started running rough, took it to auto zone, 12 codes popped up. Did normal maintenance of vehicle, oil change spark plugs . Then a few days later we were on the highway and all of a sudden we lost all power, pushed on accelerator no power, front end started shaking, so pulled over, vehicle was very hot and smells like gas, had it towed compression test were no good, was told gasket were bad, also was told to check the recall list. Im up set because our children were in the vehicle with us. I hope we are able to get whatever needs to be fixed on this vehicle. Thank you.

February 14, 2020 is just the last date it has happened on. It's happened approximately 30 times. For the past two years if you don't just ease on the gas the reduced engine light and traction control light comes on and the car will not go over 5 m. P. H. I have read several hundred articles online on different websites with people describing the exact same thing. It almost got me hit on the ms. River bridge the other day. If u have to go up any type of incline it does it also. I was accelerating slowly as I possibly could going up the small incline on the bridge that connects louisiana and mississippi. All of a sudden the reduced engine power light came on and I could not get out of traffic that was doing approximately 55 m. P. H. And my two year old grandson was in the backseat. The only way to fix it temporarily is to get off the bridge because there is no where to pull to the side of the bridge. You have to kill the car for a few seconds and recrank it. I've had mechanics look at it and I've had it hooked to the computer at o'reillys. No one can tell me anything. But if it weren't a safety recall why would almost 1,000 vehicles that I know of be doing the same thing. You can google it and see that I'm telling the truth. Lots of these cars have the identical problem. I'm currently looking for a newer model between 2014-2018, but I'm afraid of having the same or a similar problem. This is definitely a recall. But it seems to me that you all do not want to do any recalls on these Cadillacs. I've been to lots and lots of websites and I have not found anyone who's been able to figure out the problem. Even the ones that have had it put in the dealership have still yet to figure out the problem. It has to be electrical or one or more sensors malfunctioning. Thank you for your time.

The car caught on fire while driving in nyc at speeds of 10-20 mph first the car started to smoke in the front hood while turning left on 5th avenue. I got out of the car and the car was on flames. I have a dash camera and iphone footage of the incident. I bought this car from an authorized Cadillac dealership in June 2019 and the car caught on fire on christmas day 2019.

After a 45 minute drive and returning home I parked my car on the street in front of my home. The car drove perfectly normal as always and there was no indication of anything wrong with the car. There were no warning lights or anything else to indicate a problem with the car. I entered my house and as I walked pasted my kitchen window I could see flames coming out from under the hood on the driver side of the vehicle it was only a couple of minutes since from the time I entered my house. Within 5 minutes the entire car was engulfed with flames. After the fire department extinguished then fire I asked what could have cause the fire. I was told it was probably an electrical or a fuel malfunction.

I seen there is a recall but on website it's not showing up.

The car only has 35000 miles on it. The engine misfires constantly when giving gas especially if your going up hill and there is more load on the vehicle. After I had $5000 worth of work to fix the problem at a Cadillac dealership. They couldn't fix the issue so they came back and said that we needed a new engine. We told them over and over again that we don't think it's the engine but they guaranteed us the new engine would fix the problem. So another $5000 later and still not fixed. The vehicle idles fine, it only happens while driving. The check engine light eventually comes on indicating misfires in 2 cylinders.

Driving 70+mph on freeway in fast lane. Car stop accerlating and no rpm the steeling wheel then locked on me while in the fast lane on freeway. I immediately pulled over restarted the car and was able to move safely off freeway.

Driving at highway speeds, engine started to hesitate and run roughly and got increasingly worse. When pulled over, noticed that gas gauge was going down. Immediately shut off vehicle and stepped out. A massive puddle of gasoline had formed around vehicle, and gas was dripping from the entire bottom of the car, and had even gotten into the door jams and was running onto the ground.

On may 18th, 2018 I purchased a 2004 Cadillac Cts from top notch auto. The gas gauge, brakes, a/c, blinkers dash buttons all were not working. He said to bring it the next day and they would fix it all. I ran out of gas getting there the next day due to not having a working gas gauge. I spent the entire day there and they did nothing to fix the car. The next day the computer (ecm) went out on the car and the engine light came on saying the catalytic converter was bad. I took the car back and asked for my money back and they said no but would fix it and they had the car for over two weeks. They said everything was fixed but I noticed the car went from 176000 miles to 101000 miles (odometer rolled back). I asked about this and he said it was legal and necessary to fix the car. The day after getting it back the service engine light came on again and the car would not go over 20mph on the road. The codes read po121, po23 and this time it was the throttle body and wiring that were bad. The dealer would not pay for it. I paid $498 out of pocket and another 3 days without the car. I told him the brakes were still bad and the car barely stops and pulls hard to the right. On Friday June 22nd they told me to come in to get the cars VIN checked out for my registration and so they can look at the brakes. They said they brakes are fine (they are not) and he took my keys and would not return them until I signed documentation saying I would not complain or take him to court. It is now July 9th, 2018 and they will not give me my plates or registration and say I am stuck paying for this death trap of a car.

On any in clining road or acceration of the gas, stalling and power acceleration decreases dramatically. And extremely smell of gas inside the carriage caused nausea, severe migraines, light headness, to me and my too young daughters. Fuel efficiency also decreased. . .

Just purchased car on 8/29. Car has several serious defects mechanic check. Transmission is dragging while in motion upclimb. Im motion, vehicle shakes and can not steer. There are also several open recalls on the vehicle that I was not aware of at time of purchase.

Our vehicle was stationary in the driveway of our home. In the middle of the night the vehicle caught on fire and exploded multiple times. Fire report/investigation list cause as unknown.

There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the oil pan gasket needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.

The dealer provided no odor testing and the failure worsened after the timing belt was replaced. The manufacturer provided no solution. The vehicle was not repaired. The crank and cam sensors have caused the vehicle to stall out while driving or being stopped. I have seen several complaints online regarding this issue in my car and other gm cars. How many complaints have you received for this issue in gm cars. It seems the dealership should have recalled this since it is a well known and documented issue and is a safety issue with cars stalling in the middle of driving and while being stopped. I stalled on a freeway on ramp, at a stop sign and while being parked on the side of the road.

The vehicle was taken to be repaired but the failure recurs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 92,000.

I was at a stop sign when I tried to press down on the gas the car started tug and it would only do that on the first gear one mechanic said that it has to do with the fuel system and I kept testing the car out and I kept pressing on the gas to see if there was a difference but it kept doing the same thing as the first time.

The problem started with the timing chain, which led to coil issues and catalytic converters issues which led to low head beams constantly burning out. Everytime work is done it causes a chain reaction to other parts in the car that requires more and more money. Now the engine light is still on and I am told that since the first catalytic converter was repaired, the second one now needs replacing and the low head beam on the passenger side has wiring issues that will not allow the new bulb to burn, I am told that the wiring appears to be spliced. The catalytic converter was replaced in April and so was the low beam bulb. Headlight was replaced in April, 2015 it is not working today and was told by dealership that the wiring had been spliced or burned out. Radio speakers do not work and all was centered around issues with coils and catalytic coverters.

While driving on the interstate, during a violent rain storm, my cars check engine light went on and the dic message "reduced engine power message came on" which immediately limited the to approx. 2500 rpm. This action created a totally unsafe driving situation. The reduced power slowed the car immediately, in heavy traffic, in a heavy rain storm , with low visibility. Lucky for myself and my wife, I was able to avoid creating a series of collisions and traversed across three lanes of traffic to the side of the road. By immediately reducing the engine power created a very dangerous scenario that should never, under any circumstance be created.

Vehicle refused to start multiple times after refueling. Had a diagnosis done and the code was for the evaporator sensor. I had it replaced and the same thing happened again, to include the the same code.

Tl- the contact owns a 2010 Cadillac Cts. The contact stated that the tire pressure monitoring system sensor light had illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who determined that the air pressure in the tires was normal. The tire pressure monitoring system was reset but the failure continued to occur. Also, the contact indicated that while attempting to start the engine the odor of fuel was present inside the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the exhaust needed to be cleaned. The exhaust was cleaned but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 70,000. Pam.

Vehicle dose not start on cold mornings. It cranks but no start. Good battery.

Every time I put gasoline in my car, it does not automatically start. I have to try 2 or 3 times.

My car while driving on the highway has turned off out of nowhere while driving 60 mph while the car is still moving I put the car in neutral turn the ignition off n then back and the car turns right back on but some days this happens more then others. This problem has been going on for several months I have been in and out of the dealership. And they still to this day can't tell me what is the problem . But I have done research and there a lot of these incidents going on with GMC vehicles idk why they say they can't find problem or fix it . They just want me driving on the highway with my family when the car stalls out . This problem isn't everyday it seems to happen 3-5 times a month. I I don't remember the exact dates but this problem has been going on since I got the car. If the dealer can't tell me what's wrong what am I suppose tod.
