Other Fuel System Problems of Cadillac CTS - part 2

The contact owns a 2008 Cadillac Cts. The contact stated that while park, fuel fumes emitted in and around the vehicle. The failure recurred multiple times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The technician was unable to locate the failure. The vehicle has not been repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 98,000.

Driving from a side road onto the 505 freeway, vehicle came to a stop on the slow lane. Was towed to a Cadillac dealer. 1/6/14. Replaced left and right catalytic converter. Second incident occurred 1/27/2014. Driving onto I-80. Exact problem occurred and was towed to same Cadillac dealer. Dealer adjusted throttle body. Am concerned if problem has been resolved. .

Loud supercharger grinding noise.

I was traveling at 25mph when there was a sudden very loud explosive/grinding noise(it brought people running out of adjacent buildings). I hit my brakes immediately, but the noise continued until I put it into park. I exited the car and under the rear axle of my vehicle were multiple large bolts and screws lined up in a row. The vehicle was totally disabled, and subsequently was towed to the dealer. They determined that all the rear axle bolts just fell out at once. There was no other damage found to the vehicle. My concerns remain as to "why did this happen" and "what if I had been going at an accelerated rate of speed"? multiple experienced mechanics and specialist (including Cadillac) have no answers to these questions and have never seen this happen before.

My husband and I have been working with hill Cadillac, fc kerbeck and gm protection plan to resolve our repair issues. The information we have received is that the timing chain needs to be replaced. We paid for additional warranties when we purchased our Cadillac in 2010. Our timing chain was replaced in August 2011 and now are being told that there is no oil in our car and we need repairs that cost over $2000. 00. My husband and I do not have that kind of money instantly. We have provided documentation of timely oil changes and up to date repairs on the vehicle. We love our car and now need the dealership and others to stand behind their "certified" car and repair our car. Any help you can give would be appreciated. The contact owns a 2006 Cadillac Cts. The contact was driving 35 mph when he noticed that the low fuel warning light was illuminated just before the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was unable to be diagnosed. The manufacturer was contacted and advised that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign id number: 06v020000 (fuel system, gasoline:delivery) and provided no further assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 74,000 and the current mileage was 91,000.
