I bought a 2003 Deville the fuel pump stays on code says high pressure or low fuel presser or multi misfire . And says checklow coolant which is full and also tire monitor . I was told buy the place I bought from told me their was a recall / im afraid it well catch fire I have kids. / like to know if their is one so I can take it to get fixed.

1997 Cadillac Deville has problems with fuel rail as well as the fuel pump. The consumer took the vehicle to dealer to have the recall performed. The consumer stopped smelling gas for awhile, but the problem seems to have resurfaced. The vehicle stalled, back fired and there was a loss of rpms. Over the years 2 fuel pumps have been replaced in an attempt to correct the problem and on 5 occasions the vehicle had to be towed.

Then, consumer took the vehicle to dealer for an oil change, and mechanic discovered ranched, pliers, and a socket extension. Dealer was contacted, and they stated they wanted them back. Vehicle was still running very roughly, and the dealer wanted to replace the fuel pump. The consumer was charged $50. 00 to analyze the defect.
