(lt - was there an actual failure? this just looks like a concern) tl the contact owns a 2016 Cadillac Escalade. While attempting to operate the heat in the vehicle, the contact was concerned that the defroster would fail to operate due to inclement weather. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to renick Cadillac (1100 euclid st, fullerton, CA 92832, (714) 888-4503) where no diagnostic failure codes were found and the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to simpson Buick GMC of buena park (6600 auto center dr, buena park, CA 90621, (866) 894-7589) where no diagnostic failure codes were found and the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened a case. The contact was informed that he would receive a call back. The approximate failure mileage was 18,000.

Heated front seats not working. The problem with this, is that the connector that attaches to the climate control seat module (ccsm) (which is located under the front passenger seat), overheats to the point that the connector has melted. I believe that this is a fire hazard and Cadillac should look into fixing it. From all the posts on this subject in the Cadillac owner's forums there are alot of owners having the same problem and concerns.
