I was on the highway and the eps stopped working and steering wheel became hard. I looked online and saw there was a recall for this certain model of vehicle and when I checked the NHTSA page there was no recall for my VIN. We had to continue using the vehicle to get back to out city and it suddenly worked again. Now it does it every few times. We’re scared we might crash. Nhtsa campaign number 18v586000.

Our 2021 Cadillac Escalade has experienced multiple ongoing issues. The “driver airbag warning” light has been a major concern, with the dealership stating that the airbag could malfunction at any moment. When we took the vehicle in for repairs, they determined that a previous maintenance job on the driver’s airbag was done incorrectly, which was causing the warning light to activate. Additionally, the vehicle intermittently displays warnings for the “service system restraint system,” “service power steering column,” “reducing features to save battery,” and “service driver assist system. ” despite multiple visits to the dealership, we are consistently told that their diagnostic computers do not populate any error codes, leaving them uncertain about the cause of these warnings. Another major issue is battery drainage. We replaced the original battery two years ago, yet we have needed Cadillac roadside assistance twice because the vehicle wouldn’t start. Each time, the battery tested as healthy, but the car remained inoperable due to a drained battery. Lastly, we have had to replace the remote key batteries every 2-3 months, which seems excessive for a relatively new vehicle. Safety risks: the driver airbag warning light indicates that the airbag could malfunction at any moment, which poses a serious safety risk in the event of an accident. The service system restraint system warning suggests potential failure in critical safety components. Issues with the service power steering column could lead to steering difficulties while driving, increasing the risk of an accident. The reducing features to save battery warning and service driver assist system warning suggest possible electrical failures that could impact vehicle performance and safety. The other issues, including system warnings and battery drainage, have been repeatedly reported to the dealership, but they have been unable to confirm the cause as their diagnostic system does not register error codes.

While driving my 2016 Cadillac Escalade with a6. 2l v8 engine on [xxx] near bristow, oklahoma at approximately 75 mph, the vehicle suddenly and completely lost power. Without any prior warning or unusual noises, the engine shut down, and I lost power to the dashboard and power steering. This caused the vehicle to decelerate rapidly, making it extremely difficult to control. I managed to steer the vehicle to the shoulder of the highway, narrowly avoiding a collision due to the loss of control. The vehicle could not be restarted. The affected components seem to include the engine, electrical system, and steering. These failures put my safety and the safety of others at significant risk due to the sudden and unexpected loss of vehicle control on a busy highway. The vehicle was towed to the nearest Cadillac dealership for inspection and repair. As of now, the dealership has been unable to determine the cause of the engine failure despite conducting multiple tests and inspections. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms prior to the failure. The dealership has confirmed the issue but has not identified the root cause. The vehicle remains at the dealership for further diagnostics and is available for inspection upon request. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Power steering locks up whenever it decides to without warning. Its happened several times. Dealership saus nothing found wrong. We have hit curb once and tonight it happened while exiting the interstate causing me to run off the road.
Product liability due to faulty product. Chrome frame on steering wheel chips into sharp razor blades causing bleeding injuries.
I heard a weird noise from the steering wheel and when I took it to the dealership, they inspected it and found out that the steering gear mead to be replaced after only 2 months from purchasing the vehicle ( it has only 1200 miles on it ) . They said they can’t offer me another vehicle until they fix this problem which per them will take about 2 weeks to replace it and they had me to pick up the vehicle in the mean time . I don’t know what to do ?? I don’t feel safe driving it even after they fix this issue because for me, that means that they didn’t do the required inspection before releasing the vehicle from the manufacture.

Heated steering wheels shorts out and heated and cool seats shorts out and the dashboard is cracked all happened while driving.
I was driving on a two lane highway and I suddenly lost control of the steering wheel. The steering wheel became very hard to maneuver causing me to veer out of my lane causing a crash. The airbags also did not deploy fully causing me to have a dislocated shoulder and broken ribs. The car also caught on fire during impact and I had to be pulled from the vehicle. The recall regarding the steering wheel locking up on me is most likely the reason I lost control of the vehicle.
The truck was stationary and oil and power stering fluids was on my carport. I have checked for problems on the internet and more than a few is having the same problems with the same SUV.

Took car in Feb 2019 to repair torque converter. Was replaced and now is back to shaking at random times. This should be a recall as Cadillac has numerous problems with powertrain on Escalades from 2015-17.

Sporadically when driving the car, turning the wheel hard left or right the message will flash "service stabilitrak" while at the same time, the steering wheel position locks, the electronic system in the car shuts off, and no control of the vehicle is available. This lasts for approximately 1-2 seconds before the steering unlocks and vehicle control is restored. Vehicle has been in the service center for over a week now, and the dealer is trying to return the car to me stating "we cannot recreate the issue so we have no fix". We have photo and video of this happening (after I pulled over to take the video in a safe spot). This has happened multiple times with no rhyme or reason.
Car has what is called the "chevy shake" which effects almost all models from 2015-2017. Car shakes violently at times. Paid for repairs. This should be a recall as it is with other Escalade models and gm models of the same chassis. . Car has extreme rumble at times and is difficult to steer. While in motion at speeds of 45-70 this happens.
I purchased a certified pre-owned 2015 Cadillac Escalade from a dealer in san diego. I have put approx 5k miles on the vehicle in the 6 months that I've owned it. It has been back at the dealer for service four times (approx 30 days total the dealer has had the car) for the same issue, which is a shuddering, hard-shift and vibration issue with the transmission. There have been no repairs that have remedied the issue. The dealer continues to follow a protocol procedure each time, none of which have worked. I have contacted general motors and will also be proceeding with a lemon law claim.
While driving the 2018 Escalade esv rwd on interstate 87 north yesterday, driving about 33mph, the Escalade suddenly swerved left and slid into the median and then rolled over on its roof. After the accident, I noted I had received diagnostic onstar emails that morning while driving that the vehicle stabilitrak and antilock brake system were experiencing issues. I also phoned onstar today about if and when they received a crash notification. The crash notification did not occur with onstar until the vehicle was turned back over, not when the crash occurred but an hour later. The vehicle is less than 60 days new.
I just received the power steering software update for the loss of power steering last week. About five or six times now the steering has been very hard and almost impossible to turn the steering wheel. It never done this before the software update.
While driving the vehicle, a complete stop was made at a stop sign on a residential street. When attempting to make a right hand tun from the stop, the steering wheel became very difficult to turn and the vehicle had a loss of powertrain when the accelerator was depressed. The power steering did not come back and the vehicle would not accelerate. The vehicle was place into park, shutdown completely and restarted. The power steering and acceleration returned. The cause is unknown to me.

I think that something is very wrong with my front steering, I can't keep it going straight on the road. It keeps darting to the left and to the right. I have had it aligned two times in the last month. I think that Cadillac should do something about this problem before someone gets hurt or killed.

Purchased brand new 2014 Cadillac Escalade from penske in torrance CA , beginning of sept. 2014. Vehicle refused to start on at least four occasions.
