Air Bag Problems of Cadillac SRX - part 2

I was traveling at 55 mph down the highway and a car pulled out in front of me while making a left turn against signal. I attempted to stop however due to the lack of time, short distance and rain slicked highway I was unable to stop striking her car on her mid passenger side with the front of my car. The airbag at no point deployed.

-I was traveling south on fm , miles north of miami, TX when a deer ran out in front of me. I struck it front center and onstar immediately called for emergency services. First thing I noticed was one of the air bags deployed and after pulling of the road and coming to a stop, I noticed a fire from the passenger side of the engine compartment. I exited the vehicle and still on the phone with onstar, my car fully engulfed within 15 minutes. The fire department was on site after the car was fully engulfed and took an hour to put out the flames. My car was a total loss. No one knows why it caught fire, what caused it.

Low beam head lights are extremely dim can't see nothing past the hood of car, have tried replacing head lamps twice with no improvement, night driving can only be done with hi beam causing me to blind other drivers. I keep getting service air bag warning whenever a passenger is in the passenger side of the car took it to a dealership but they was unable to find the problem .

I was in a minor collision. Ran into the back of someone. My airbags didn't deploy and my engine immediately caught on fire and in a few minutes my whole care was on fire and destroyed. There was no known reason how or why the fire started.

I just brought this SUV sept. 2014. Last week I was going around a curve. The rear end swerved and the tires rolled over the curve. The air bags deployed and the car stopped, the car was towed to a Cadillac dealer. ( weeks before I found out about the recall on the air bags, seat, suspension and seat belt. ) so, when I told the adjustor about the recall he just brushed it off and said," it's not the recall. ". I don't think the adjustor worked for an outside company. I need to get my car independently checked so I can find out if it was the recall items. How could my air bags deploy from going over the curve? the car has no damage. . . None! I think the dealer does not want to fix the recalled items or they fixed them wrong. Because my driver seat was making some crazy sounds the weeks before the airs bags came out. Plus, I told the dealer and he said all the work was done to the car. I think their lying. . . . Is there a government place I can have the car checked or can you send someone? can you please help me? thank you for your time.

I was turning south with a green arrow when the second driver ran a red light traveling east and we collided. He was traveling at approximately 40-45 miles per hour and I was traveling at approximately 30 miles an hour. Our impact was somewhat of a t-incident with the front end of my car damaged and his car on the driver's side damaged. My air bags did not inflate, even though we believe the impact was at the angle and the required speed of vehicles to inflate them. The air bags in the second driver's car (Ford focus) did inflate.

We were stopped at a traffic light, when the engine made a very loud, harsh noise and began racing at a high rev. Even with brakes fully applied, we were propelled into the intersection; tried to jamb the gear shift into neutral, but could not in time. We were struck from the left front and the vehicle was knocked onto the right side. Minor injuries, treated and released at the emergency room. Vehicle was totaled.

My wife's 2006 Cadillac Srx steering wheel module inflatable cover is sticky. Once you touch it with your finger it becomes attach to the steering wheel cover. I have the same problem with my 2001 Chevrolet corvette odi confirmation number 10585936. I believe this this is a safety issue since it affects steering of the vehicle and inflatable air restraint system.

At 9:00 pm et on 20-Nov-2012 I was driving 20 minutes to my home from my in-laws at ~30 mph in monroe, ohio when my airbags malfunctioned. The car was towed to camargo Cadillac’s body shop for repairs the morning of 21-Nov-2012. Both a specialist from state farm (my insurance) and the inspector hired by gm declared that the airbags malfunctioned. Gm’s representative inspected the vehicle on 03-Dec-2012 and the report was received at gm on 12-Dec-2012. It was not until 19-Dec-2012 that gm approved paying for the repairs. Gm would not state what error occurred that caused the airbags to malfunction. My car was under warranty until 100,000 miles and had ~ 76,000 miles on it at the time of the accident. It took ~2 months for the repairs total. No apologies were made by gm for stress or for putting my life at risk. I am thankful no one else was affected by the accident, as I was driving alone and did not lose control of my vehicle. During a right frontal/side impact motor vehicle accident involving a 2005 Cadillac Srx v6, none of the 8 airbags deployed. The occupant suffered an injury to the right side of the head when the motion caused her to strike the left (driver's side) window. The driver was wearing her seat belt.
