2 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem of the 2002 Chevrolet Astro

Failure Date: 03/25/2002

Consumer states that the back bench seat belts are too long, when the seat belts are put on, they lay off of the childrens rib cages near their sides, the seat belts do not fit children or adults correctly, they were replaced with shorter belts, but they are still too long, dealer stated that they would move the bolts back to make them shorter, however later stated they could not due to liability reasons.

6 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem of the 2000 Chevrolet Astro

Shoulder belts on the rear bench and buckle does not stay in place. Buckle does not lay on the hips, but moves up to occupant's chest. Van converted by tiara. Chevrolet and tiara were notified about the problem. Problem has not been corrected. Both the belt and buckle are non- rachetting, and not possible to secure the seats in the rear bench.

I have recently purchased a new custom van from this dealership. My rear seatbelts are not installed properly, therefore, I can not provide safe transportation for my grandchildren. The dealer and the gm representative have been extremely non-cooperative as well as gm contractor who customized the van. I am turning to you for any assistance.
