Ignition Problems of Chevrolet Avalanche

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche. The contact stated that once the key was inserted in the ignition switch, the vehicle made a grinding noise. The grinding noise continued once the contacts hand was removed away from the ignition key. The contact turned the vehicle off and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle resumed normal operations. The failure recurred several times. The manufacturer was not contacted. There was no diagnostic test completed on the vehicle. The failure mileage was 100,000 and the current mileage was 104,000.

Hvac blower did not function on certain or all blower speeds. The hvac blower ran continually with the ignition in the off position and the key removed.

2005 chevy Avalanche with 48,975 miles. At approx 47,000 tachometer stopped working. Tonight while driving the speedometer suddenly went to 60-80 mph while I was only doing 40-45 mph. When I turned the ignition off the needle only dropped to the 30 mph level. While driving speedometer is sporadic as to speed but no completely inaccurate at any speed.

My 2003 chevy Avalanche 1500 speedometer reads 30 mph when I'm driving at 70 mph. After I stopped the truck, shut off motor and took key out of ignition and restarted truck and began driving, speedometer read correctly again. I own a 2002 chev. Avalanche, there are problems with the tailgate hinges, and locks, the starps( recall) have been replace. There is a problem with the steering box, makes a thumping noise that can be felt through the steering wheel. My complaint is that people that have same problems with less than 50k miles are having the steering, and locks/hinges repair for free, and I'm being told that because my vehicle has 80k miles I have to pay for these repairs, and if a recall is established they will re-emburse me. If it is dangerous at 50k miles why is not dangerous at 8ok miles.
