Both air bags deployed for no reason driver and passenger.
I am an owner of a 2013 chevy Avalanche and must say that I enjoy driving this vehicle. The problem that I have is the vehicle has been going into engine power reduced mode. This mode makes the vehicle hard to accelerate to highway speeds. The vehicle will have a code of p2128 or p2138 which is an accelator pedel ciruit problem. I changed the acceleator pedal and did not solve the problem. I changed out the throttle body sensor and still the problem remains. On the dashboard it will show check engine light on, service stablinktrac light on, and service traction control light on. I have seen other vehicle owners experience the same problems with their vehicles and told that there was no recall and have to pay for the repairs out of pocket. These are very well made vehicles but when they going into engine power reduced mode, drive ability is diminished.

Vehicle looses power and brakes go out then dies, doesn't matter speed. If slowing down and press the brakes, the locks, lights, and security goes crazy. This is dangerous as it is in intersections and caution for collision. The vehicle has to be off for a time frame and restarts fine and can go. Happened when coming from ramp and in middle of road with semi truck coming down by us.

I drove to work & parked my 2007 Avalanche in my employers truck garage as I do every day. I went into the office attended a job briefing & we put on our coveralls for work then we got ready to leave to go to the 1st jobsite but as soon as the 1st two coworkers walked out of the shop they turned around yelling that my truck was on fire. I didn't believe them at 1st because I had just parked like 15 minutes prior. Parked & not running. Well I looked and my whole engine compartment was full of flames. We used 4 fire extinguishers to put the fire out & the fire department arrived to finish. My vehicle was totalled & I only had liability insurance.
I am a new owner of a 2003 Avalanche, I was satisfied with my purchase but my soonroof falls under the appropriate serial numbers (6,000,000-6,300,000) recall states that it may be covered by the company webasto hollandia. Vehicle is fine to drive places but sunroof must be fixed for coming winter. It worries me as there's a slight danger of it causing a road hazard if it were to fall out.

In October of 2020, my Avalanche only would start in winter after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. It was also on numerous occasions go into limp mode while driving at normal city speeds meaning it wouldn’t go above 25 miles an hour. The entire dash would light up. It threw numerous codes. Had to be towed to get it looked at but then would mysteriously start without issue. I took it to young Buick GMC in layton utah with no resolution. Finally in December 2020 it was determined by now heritage Chevrolet in evanston wyoming to be the onstar module. This part was no longer available and couldn’t be replaced. The dealership’s solution was to wire around the faulty part which has allowed the truck to start and no longer go into limp mode from 70mph on highway to 20mph without notice. I immediately got a hold of Chevrolet to get a satisfactory answer about why I couldn’t get the part that was making the vehicle unsafe to drive. They said the part was no longer being manufactured and it wasn’t their problem sorry about the inconvenience case number [xxx]. I did have the dealership wire around it so I have the truck working, but Chevrolet did not care about the truck going into limp mode suddenly on the highway and it could have caused an accident. They not not offer any compensation for the part not being manufactured and according to to your website if a part is causing a safety issue they are they are required to have that part fixed. I am still upset about their lack of support and service and want Chevrolet held accountable. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Oh my 08 Avalanche my dashboard is cracked right by the airbag and right above the plaster in front of the steering wheel. My vehicle also automatically lock by itself with the keys in the ignition or not in the ignition.
My dash is cracked right by the airbag and right over the cluster which I feel is a defect in the material that was used to make the dash and is a safety hazard. If the airbag deploys could bust and pieces could fly injury someone or puncture the airbag I feel that gm should resolve this problem I should not have to pay for a new dish thank you hope to hear back soon. Furthermore there is an electrical problem with my vehicle the truck will lock by itself with the keys in the ignition or laying on the consul is happened several times on me again thank you.
Driving 60mph and lost all lights power motor everything the vehicle came back on and repeated this over and over till it was parked gm's said my truck wasn't covered so I asked for the recalled part number and was rushed off the phone.
Just purchased the vehicle 3 days ago and the dealership is telling me I bought the car as is and there's three recalls on it and they are they're refusing to fix what it needs to be fixed do they have the right to do that and just because I bought the car as is.

The dashboard has cracked around the instrument cluster and the air bag. Causing safety hazards. It is obviously a flawed design gm refuses to own up to. The vehicle also has some electrical issue that causes the trucks to come to a stop on the interstate.
Check engine light lit. Showing codes p069e and p0614. This is the same symptom from recall# 14515 (fuel pump control module) due to internal corrosion. My VIN# was not included. The code started shortly after starting to drive the car.
Tl the contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500. While driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle stalled. In addition, the steering and braking ability failed, the radio was inoperative, and the stability control warning indicator illuminated. After five minutes, the vehicle operated normally. The contact stated that the failures occurred sporadically for six weeks. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (bleecker Chevrolet, 1200 cumberland street, dunn, nc 28334) to be diagnosed, but they were not able to replicate the failures. The dealer replaced the battery and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and provided case number: 84822577408. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.
The shift lever position indicator located in the instrument panel cluster does not illuminate therefore, I don't know what gear the vehicle is in. It seems like a safety issue to me. It occurs when I start the vehicle, am moving and when the headlights are on.

Fuel pump failed.
In motion on city streets or highways several warning lights appear on the dash and just randomly turn on and turn off the stabiliser leg traction control time on their system check engine abs light and airbag light all the lights come on and go off whenever they want. The play is on macy mother the one connection that goes to gets extremely hot it don't wanna come on you have to move around and get it come on and goes off randomly as well.
Service light dose not come on when my truck won't not started up until I got it towed.
1. Vehicle stabilitrak light comes on, all the dash board lights goes on and off, the needles are going wild and then nothing. The vehicle still drives normal. 2. The clock will not keep regular time even when reset many times. 3. The drives side rear speaker will not come on. 4. When using cruise control the vehicle accelerated quickly causing me to think it was out of control, this happen once.
The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500. While driving 60 mph, the rpms increased and decreased, the headlights flashed intermittenly, and that the entire instrument cluster with different warning sensors illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was driven home. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The local dealer was not contacted or made aware of the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced the same failure in may of 2017 when it was diagnosed that the amplifier failed and was replaced. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 39,000.
Thus far, nothing has "happened" with my vehicle, but there has been a recall in effect for the airbags in my vehicle for well over a year and nothing has been done to replace the airbags. I am also having some electrical problems with my truck not shutting off when I remove the key, and the interior dome lights will not turn on when the button is pressed (this has all began since the recall was initiated but not taken care of). I just want my airbags replaced, as they are supposed to be, given the recall, and if the recalled parts are responsible for the additional problems I am now having with my truck, I want those addressed and repaired as well. The length of time this has taken to address is beyond unreasonable and I have been as patient as I can be waiting for this recalled part to be replaced.
Instrument panel has stopped working. None of the gauges work. Start vehicle no gauges move. Drive and no gauges move, including speedometer.
Cluster panels on chevy trucks, tend to blank out due to faulty connections. This is dangerous in that you have no idea of millage on truck and when to change oil, check brakes, all the things milage meters are used for. If you go on the internet you see all sorts of videos on this problem from other chevy truck owners. Chevy does not acknowledge the issue.
Air bag service light is on the truck will surge with no warning cause the instrument to black out and would cause the truck to stop check engine light is on with no key and control on the steering not functional.
The shift lever position indicator does not illuminate. The odometer does not show current speed ( miles per hour . ) the abs sensor doesn't work.
The fan motor control relay and connector short circuited and burned up. The location of this relay is behind and slightly below the glove box. General motors issued a service bulletin special coverage adjustment bulletin no 11046 for this problem, however it was only valid in canada, not the united states.
After a weekend of camping (RV) my Avalanche would not start, battery less than one year old. The rpm $ mph were moving up & down, clicking sounds were coming from the front seat arm rests, no power to the windows & locks. Vehicle was parked & both the Avalanche & RV had to be towed. Diagnose-u0140 loss of communication of bcm, defective body control module, replaced control module.
The "service trailer brake system" warning is illuminated in my driver's information center. A recall was issued by gm - 14515 - but they claim my vehicle is not part of the recall.
