Fuel tank vent valve has failed making it difficult to fill the tank with gasoline. When trying to fill the tank, the pump will continuously shut off. Opening the gas tank cap also releases quite a bit of "air". Approximate cost to replace the vent valve/solenoid will be $210. 00 which includes 2 hours of labor. Repair facility stated they were currently experiencing many requests to repair this same issue on gm vehicles.

The contact stated vehicle would take very little fuel at a time and shut the pump off. The vehicle was taken to the dealership, and they replaced the fuel filter line. However, problem recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealership, and they replaced the fuel tank. The vehicle would not take fuel at all , it leaked fuel on the ground. The vehicle is currently at the dealership again . When driving in excess of 55 mph the hood vibrated. The dealership has not been able to diagnose the problem.
Very difficult to fill fuel tank. Must hold nozzled tightly against filler opening. I have complained to the dealer about this since I purchased it. They "fixed" it, but the difficulty continues.
