The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer. While driving 55 mph, the four wheel indicator warning light came on and then the four wheel gear engaged. The contact was unable to shift into normal gear which made the vehicle drag and vibrate. The contact was able to shut the engine off and have the vehicle towed. The dealer replaced the transfer case control module. The dealer also informed the contact that there were no related recalls or warranties. The failure mileage was 52,609.
The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer. While driving at an unknown speed, the four wheel drive icon illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and they discovered that the 4 wheel drive control module failed. There is no recall on the control module. The current mileage was 50,041 and failure mileage was 47,000.

The 4 wheel drive service light would illuminate while driving. When this occurred it prevent the 4 wheel drive from being engage. The dealer was notified. The dealer informed the consumer that part was not covered under a recall.
For several weeks, 4lo light on dash would flash as if trying to shift into 4 wheel drive, on 5/19/03, it was locked into 4lo, have not been able to transfer to 2 wheel drive, very loud grinding noise in front end when trying to take out of 4lo.
Failure of 4 wheel drive option. The switch was replaced under warranty on the first occasion. Every winter since the purchase of my Blazer the switch for the 4 wheel drive has had to be replaced.
