The abs, air bag, and parking brake warning indicator lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to tom joyce automotive 18260 paulson dr unit d3 port charlotte, FL 33954 where diagnosed that the door, pins, and hinge needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however the failure recurred while driving the drivers door detached. The brake line was wrapped underneath the vehicle. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 128,000. Ap.

My 03 Blazer has had its airbag lights on for some time now and I'm worried that if I get into a crash my airbags wont deploy, I'm scared also to see so many complaints along the same lines as mine. This problem needs to be addressed by the NHTSA or by gm before someone is killed or injured badly. A recall is needed!.

Air bag light on 33,000 miles,dealer replaced air bag control module under center console. 33,500 miles air bag light on again,dealer reset light. At 35,100 miles air bag light on again and go's on and off every 5-minutes to this day with 54,000 miles. This needs a recall for gm ASAP. Please investigate!.

Nothing happened to cause the airbag light to come on, but one day a few years ago it came on and won't go off. Certified gm mechanic can't find reason why. So I still drive the vehicle but have told my family, and left notarized statement with documentation, that if something should happen to me as a result of this (I. E. Airbag doesn't deploy thereby causing fatal injury or deploys without cause causing injury) they are to sue gm.

The air bag light comes on intermittently because the air bag sensor is bad and needs to be replaced. Also, at 30,000 miles the windshield wiper turns on and off intermittently without being engaged. There is a recall on this issue for the early model year. The dealership refused to replace the wiper control module. Consumer took the vehicle for replacement of the air bag sensor, which they performed but the air bag is still inoperative.

I own a 1998 Blazer on 10-19-o3 it was hit from rear. Since this time the airbag light stays on and everything on that switcc malfunctions. I have noticed on one ocasion that smoke came from the steering wheel. I do not want to continue to drive it.

At all the times that vehicle is on air bag light stays on. Vehicle has been taken to dealer and was diagnosed as air bag module failure. The only way it could be fixed was for the consumer to pay the repair cost. Manufacturer had been notified of the problem.

On 07/10/02 airbag light came on. Vehicle was checked by dealer on 07/17/02, who read internal codes, and advised there was no problem. On 07/22/02, vehicle was idling ,and both driver's and passenger's airbags deployed without warning. Consumer was not in vehicle when incident occurred.
