The air bag light is constantly going on and off. The dealer had supposedly fixed the problem, but it is still not working properly. The vehicle has been taken back to dealership, now they can't find anything wrong with it. I was told that when the warning light is lit, the airbag will not work.

The air bag light appeared on the dashboard and remained on. The consumer drove to the dealer to have the vehicle inspected. The mechanic informed the consumer that the sensor needed to be replaced. The consumer told the mechanic that the problem still happened and has not been resolved. Please fill in additional information.
The airbag light had come on. The dealer replaced the arming sensor. Thirty minutes later the air bag light had come back on. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the dealer said the starting sensor needed to be replaced.
My 1997 Chevrolet Blazer (LS) was involved in a front end collision (pictures can be provided after 7/19/03 via email) of the damage. I was told by the fire and paramedics as well as the tow company and police officers that the airbag should have deployed as at least two of the sensors were impacted.
I took my year 2000 Chevrolet Blazer into gleason Chevrolet in forest park illinois to service an inoperable horn. I was told that the front air bag module needed to be replaced in order for the horn to be repaired. (the extended warranty will not cover the cost of repairs. )
I now am concerned that I have two safety issues. 1. ) the horn does not work. 2. ) apparently, the air bag module is defective. Gm will not cover the cost of repairs.

Air bag module defective.
Nar 02/10/2003. The consumer had numerous problems with the vehicle. The air bags deployed for no apparent reason, the windshield wipers failed, the manifold gasket failed, the turn signals went out, 2 batteries failed within a year, the alternator and belt failed, the oxygen sensor and a/c compressor failed.
Slid on icy road doing about 65 mph hit an embankment head on and rolled about 3 times Blazer is totaled all sensors hit in the front and drivers airbag didn't deploy.
1998 Blazer went out road into 2 ditches and had front end damage and bounced around . The frame was bent right where the right air bag sensor is located and it didn't go off. Fender, hood, cow, bumper, grill, motor mount had been replaced that I know of so far. Still at repair shop. I purchased this car because air bags and safety. The 2 people that were in car are okay, they waere bruised and sore.
Well so far the encoder motor, the drive belt, trans. Dipstick rusted, sensor in ses light, whining fuel pump, vibration in rear when leaving from stop, now the car stalls while driving along. And you never know when it will ,it may go several miles before doing so and it may only go a couple before doing so. I feel that it is very dangerous not knowing whether you can get out of the way or not. The dealer tells me he is pretty sure that it is the fuel pump. But can not tell me for sure that it will take care of the problem. . . . And the part alone is 518. 00 we have a van with 142k miles and a truck with 262k miles so we feel like we maintain our vehicles or would not get the mileage. . Really concerned with this vehicle. . . . . Which was a fleet vehicle purchased from auction. . . . And we were told differently. . . . . I want to be able to get satisfaction from somewhere. . . . Please help.
