Failure Date: 11/22/2003

Vehicle making a loud snapping noise when turning left. Brought to a local garage, was told that both of front wheels were about to "fall off," and it would be very dangerous to drive vehicle. The mechanic actually explained my problem to me, showing me the inch of play that he could shake my wheels. He then went on to tell me that he fixes this problem in this make of vehicle about once a week. My Blazer has 55,000 miles, and has been maintained very well. I am terrified to think about what could have happened, as well as disappointed and upset.

Urgent- this will kill people please read - my 2000 Chevrolet Blazer rolled at 30 mph after hitting a chuck hole on the right side of the road. It threw me to the right side of the road so I brought the vehicle back onto the road at which time my steering column was going crazy and then I rolled at least once before stopping - I really thought I was dead, and my vehicle is a total loss. I have the vehicle in my possession now - because of theft related issues with allstate insurance company. I would like some help showing the world that it may not be a firestone problem, it may be a suspension problem. I can close my eyes and tell you in slow motion exactly what the vehicle did and you would think gm would want to have me interviewed -- since I lived!!! I have pictures as well if you want to have them emailed. Please help. It happend in a split second, going only 30 mph 1/2 mile from my house in texas (102 degrees). (dot number: ? tiresize: ?).

In going from a gas station to a lane of travel where the steering wheel is turned so the four wheels leave the incline at different intervals, the truck severely rocks to a point where you feel that it is going to tip over. This condition seems to increase in intensity until the four wheels come back into alignment, then the condition stops. The wife is scared that the Blazer is going to tip over. The dealer says I don't know how to drive it. I have owned for wheel- drive vehicles since 1966. Jeep wagoneers, eagles, cherokee, grand cherokee, and suburaru. I have never before experinced the feeling of tipping over. The dealer said he can't do anything, Chevrolet wants me to take it to another dealer. I can show anybody what happens as it happens everytime I gas up, and turn the wheels to leave the gas station. I believe it is a suspension problem. I do a lot of off road driving and have never had a problem of feeling I am going to tip over, only going out of a gas station. Dangerous situation.
