Windshield wiper motor malfunctioned while in use, causing visibility problems which may result in an accident. Dealer replaced the motor. Please provide further information.
Windshield wipers fail to work properly while in use. Wipers would stop on its own. This causes the driver to have poor visibility. Took to dealer & had the circuit board module replaced.

Windshield wiper module is getting water in it which causes a short within wipers. This, in turn, causes windshield wipers to turn on and off intermittently, resulting in poor visibility. Vehicle is not included in recall due to VIN, but is experiencing the same defect.
Consumer stated windshield wipers will not work due to circuit board failure. Dealer will not replace wiper arms under recall.

Windshield wipers unexpectedly become inoperable when vehicle is driven in rainy weather conditions due to a malfunction within the wiper motor circuit board. Consumer states there are two rounded contacts on the motor control board which ride on a rotating disk to supply voltage to the motor, as these contacts wear flat due to use they began to ride up on the grease which coats the rotating disk to reduce wear, when this happens voltage is lost to the motor and the wipers stop working.
