As a result of NHTSA campaign id number: 05v379000 I took my 2001 silverado to a certified gm dealer for repair of defect only to find out that although my 3500 has the same exact problem as the 1500,2500 the 3500 is not included in the recall according to gm dealer, it soaked me for $282. 48. ,same damn problem my truck only has 22,000 miles. I would like to be reimbursed by gm and I wonder how many 3500 owners have had to pay for this recall.
Antilock brakes always activate when braking at slow speeds, was told by chevy dealer there is a recall but not on my vehicle.

Applied abs brakes at 40 mph . Brakes started to catch then went to floor causing increased stoppping distance and vehicle collision.
While driving at any speed and when applyng brakes, vehicle will pull to the left and will shimmy. Vehicle was serviced 6 times. Dealer repaired the brakes; however, did not find a solution for the problem. Vehicle still pulls to the left and steering shakes whenever stopping. Condition is worse.
When applying brakes vehicle shakes and pulls to the right. Steering column will vibrate, and rotors have been turned but, problem was still there. Dealership was aware of problem.

After changing tires abs system would not work properly on wet roads. Dealer was told not to reset abs system.
When applying brakes at 30mph pedal went to floor ,resulting in extended stopping distance, and causing a collision and injury. Dealer and manufacturer has been notified.
Consumer was traveling about 15mph and was slowing down for a stop sign, applied the brakes, and in the process he hit a bump and vehicle rolled forward. When vehicle stopped, it was in the street passing the crosswalk. Abs braking system didn't kick in. Consumer stated that he has contacted the dealer.

When consumer puts foot on the brakes truck pulls to the right, and it makes a loud squealing noise. Also, they grab as if they are stopping too fast. Dealer can't find the cause of the problem. Consumer indicated if it was raining it would be a problem with the brakes.
When applying abs brakes on wet pavement front wheels grabbed and let go, and rear wheels continued to roll, causing extended stopping distance. Dealer could not dupilcate the problem.

While traveling and when making a sudden stop by depressing the brake pedal to the floor board, brakes locked up, resulting in vehicle skidding. Please prove further information.
Consum had replace brakes first. Then, when he applied the brakes, pedal went to the floor. A technician told consumer the problem was with the brake rear seals.
Consumer owns two Chevrolet trucks g3500, 99 vehicles, and has experienced vehicle pulling to one side or the other when applying the brakes. The second vehicle's VIN #1gchg39r6x1052996. - the dealership gave consumer a loaner with less than 600 miles that does the same. GMC is using consumer's vehicle for testing, they've indicated that there has been a problem since 97, and they cannot find a remedy.
While driving hit the brakes and truck spun around because there was only one brake on the back. Consumer almost hit a person on a bike.

The front brakes on my Chevrolet truck have to be replaced every 3000mi. They first needed replaceing at 12000mi with all of this being unloaded highway miles this is excessive. The problem has steadily gotten worse to what it is now at 3000mi replacement. I have had 2 relatives with the same problem on c-1500 and c-2500 trucks. When hitting a raised section on road and applying brakes, vehicle will take at least an extra 5 feet before it will stop. Consumer must apply brakes extremely hard.
