While driving on the highway, my car's electronics shut off. The speedometer, tachometer, turn signals, hud unit, and radio stopped working but the car was still running and could be driven normally (responded to gas, steering was fine etc). I could not put the rear passenger window up but all of the other windows opened and closed. The convertible top would not work. After parking and restarting a few times the problem went away but eventually came back and happens all the time. I have made an appointment with the dealership to check this out. The following warnings display on the display: service theft deterrent system service airbag service parking assistant service tire monitor system open, then close passenger window.

The service airbag notification keeps repeatedly showing on my dashboard. This has been happening for the past month. This message appears whether anything is located in the passenger seat or not. My local chevy dealership stated that this issue will cost a couple hundred to repair.

2015 Camaro - safety systems attached to radio module. Radio module keeps going out, when radio module goes out, all audible warnings are no longer present, including turn signals, seat belt notification for passengers/driver. This is a known issue on several different Camaro forums, and has been reported to chevy, no action has been taken to resolve this issue. This is a safety issue for the driver as well as passengers. Its the drivers responsibility to ensure seatbelts are on, and the audible notifications help to ensure the safety of all passengers, in the event there is an error/malfunction in the engine/seat belt error/airbag errors.
Feb 2019, I received a call from the chevy dealer where I purchased my Camaro back in April 2017, stating that my vehicle has a safety recall which effect the electric power steering. I read up on the recall which stated, the electric steering can fail while operating the vehicle which will make it hard to steer. I contacted the dealer to bring my car in for service, they told me that there was no remedy for the recall and that they will reach out to me when they have one. Manufacturer recall number n182182760. Nhtsa recall number, 19v086 it is now June 2019 and on 6/16/19, I was driving my car about 15-20mph, driving around a roundabout and my steering wheel locked on me, causing me to wreck my car which caused my seat and overhead airbags to deploy along with suspension, wheel and body damage. I had the wheel turned left going around the circle and as I was trying to turn the steering wheel back to the right to exit the roundabout, my steering wheel locked, causing me to run over top of the curb striking my wheels on the edge of the steel sewer and back into the street striking the left side of my vehicle on an island exiting the roundabout which caused my airbags to deploy. Once my airbags deployed my engine and electrical was shut down automatically. I did suffer a hard impact on my left shoulder from the airbag. Gm finally came up with a remedy this month 6/2019 for the recall. A representative from the dealer gave me gm's customer service number to call and report the incident. I had to file an insurance claim with my insurance and if my car is repairable, I would have to pay my deductible and suffer higher insurance rates all because of a recall that gm fail to repair in a timely manner. Progressive claim 19-1239901.

Around 60,000 miles, the 'service airbag' warning began displaying from when the car is started until it is shut off. I am interested in selling the vehicle, but when I took the car in to a local dealership, they said they were going to take "$2,000" off of what would be offered for the car because of this airbag problem. When researching this problem, it sounds to be a relatively common problem that others are having - but even more concerning, it sounds like this error may deactivate the airbag altogether which is a considerable safety concern considering I don't have $2,000 to put toward the car to resolve this error.
Service passenger air bag, would not go off. And check engine light keep coming on.
I was driving on the interstate, about 65 mph, and the phone charger caught fire and exploded. I stopped the car on the interstate to extinguish the fire on my person. The charger fell under the passenger seat, and caught the seat on fire. The whole car was consumed by the time the fire department responded to the scene.

It doesn’t matter if someone is in the passenger seat or not, the airbag light keeps coming on on my dashboard saying that the passenger airbag has been disabled. The light will keep turning on and off even when someone is not in the passenger seat.

I recently noticed a hairline crack on my dashboard and believed it was due to normal wear and tear. Requested a company to repair crack, but representative unable to repair crack due to location being above the airbag. Upon future investigation I have discovered that other Camaro owners have same hairline crack in the exact location on their dashboards. For the crack to occur in the same location on different vehicles leads me to believe there is a defect in the dashboard. The crack is getting progressively worse and I fear that the airbag will deploy unexpectedly due to the airbag compartment becoming compromised.
Tl-the contact owns a 2011 chevorlet camero. The contact recieved notification of NHTSA campaign number: 14v346000 (electrical system) however, the parts to do the repair were unavalable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The chevorlet dealer located at martin chevorlet (310) 853-5846 23505 hawthorne blvd, torrance, CA 90505 was contacted and confirmed the parts were not available for t he recall remedy. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and were not ablt ot conmfirm when the parts were to become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. (parts distribution disconnect). Jw.
Passenger airbag illuminated when a someone sat in the passenger seat and now stays illuminated whether sitting in the seat or not. Looked into the problem and realized gm has been made aware of the defect that is causing many of consumers the same problem. I have decided to not get it fixed due to the cost of repairing and the fact that gm should be the ones fixing their saftey defects.
Vehicle was involved in an accident 3 months ago. Gm does not manufacture replacement curtain airbags for this brand new vehicle. My vehicle has been sitting at repair shop since December 28th. All airbags were deployed at time of accident. I have no recourse, other than to try and find used airbags to repair my car. Apparently I also have to sign a waiver to have my car released from body shop. This is utterly unacceptable that a huge manufacturing company would produce an auto, and not have replacement parts for it. Apparently they do not have a time frame for production. Do I have any recourse? the vehicle was cut off, and smashed head on into a tree on a city street. My car is a Chevrolet Camaro zl1.
Was in a wreck and not all the ir bags deployed, the wheels came apart from the tires and the wheels broke apart, and the seat broke.
During event(s), vehicle was in motion and stopped. When a passenger is sitting in the passenger front seat, the air bag does not turn on. At least the light for the air bag stays in the off position. This happens no matter what. This could have been happening for a very long time, I just now noticed it.

Air bags wer not working when it crashed spped was 60 per hr.
I had a air bag service, light come on for the passenger side seat, after I picked my son up, he sat down put on his seat belt, then I got the service air bag on my dash, and the light over the rear view mirror went from on to off, and stayed off. I called onstar to do a diagnostic test, and they said yes their showing a TSB code of boo81, and after doing some online research, I fined that this an on going issue. I have contacted gm customer service, they told me to contact my chevy dealer, to have a diagnostic test done, then contact gm again, to see if their going to cover this, but gm customer service rep said my car isn't under warranty, I let them no it's not a matter of warranty, it's a matter of safety and shouldn't matter if it's a warranty issue, something is defective, and gm should fix this as a defective part or parts related to the airbag system, I plan on bring it to the dealer Wednesday 21 June for the diagnostic test. Which will cost about $150. 00 dollars, just to fined what part of the airbag sys is defective, gm should fix this, for it is a matter of safety not warranty related issue. Thanks steve dieken bmc {sw} us navy retired d619sj@juno. Com.
We where driving looking at a local subdivision and we were doing 35 miles a hour when we hit a deer all air bags came out and I broke my wrist and my friend hurt his arm as well I was in the passenger side with my set belt on and when we hit the deer the air bag came out full force that I broke my wind shield as well.
I was recently involved a car wreck were my vehicle was total out but my air bag did not come out through the steering wheel and I was survey hurt I sastained head injuries and a broken leg and ankle I was trying to reach out to some one to see if this company could help.
Passenger air bag kept coming on and stayed on.
Air bags warning on dash is indicating a issue with the air bag. Chevrolet wants over a 1000 dollars to fix. This is a safety issue and needs gm to step up and repair. Potential ingury due to no air bag inflation at crash.
Two days ago while driving the service airbag came on. I went online to research any reasons why and found that many others have the same problem around same mileage, right after warranty expired. I also noticed a lawsuit concerning the 2011 Camaro airbags. 01/07/2017.
At about 34,000 miles on the car, I started getting intermittent codes whenever somebody was sitting in the passenger side seat about the airbag not being activated. After some time the code was steady and now the airbag remains deactivated at all times, even if someone sitting in the passenger seat. I did have this diagnosed and it came up as the passenger airbag module, the replacement cost is approximately $1,000. I have also discovered through a relative that has access to the mechanics communication board that although it comes up as the module it is a known wiring issue. Apparently this issue has been going on through several year models of the Camaro. I did reach out to Chevrolet about the problem however the only help that they would offer was to call the dealership so the dealership could call me so I can bring it in and have it fixed. From what I understand changing the module does not fix the problem as it has something to do with the wiring system. I'm a little outraged that Chevrolet has known about this problem and yet continues to use the same system in other year models and chooses to do nothing about it. So at this moment I am driving around with out an airbag on the passenger side. I'm not really sure why they have not been held accountable on such a safety issue.
Around 60,000 miles the "check air bag" light came on. The passenger seat air bag comes on and goes off during travel. If I was to have an accident while the bag happens to have turned itself off, I'm afraid a much greater injury will occur. Dealer says its not under warranty and will cost around $1,000 to replace the computer board in passenger seat. I believe this affects other Chevrolet models as well. Chevrolet should recall the circuit board before their customers are injured or killed.
At 43000 miles service airbag and chime appeared in drivers information center. Light stays on and chimes every few seconds. Vehicle was running but not moving in parking lot when this happened. After looking online this is a fairly common problem with these cars. Concerned about airbags deploying on their own, or not deploying in a crash.
Service air bag suddenly came on and will not go off. The car alarms every few seconds and flashes the warning service air bag. It will not go off and prevent me from seeing how fast I am going etc etc. I still have a warrantee on car but I am sure it does not include air bag. It is scary to drive because I don't know if air bag will engage and cause me to wreck. I am terrified. Also the traction ended up frying my computer and after 2000 dollars later my car sounds like starter or battery is drained. Which is exactly what happened before it fried the computer the first time. Very frustrating.
While driving at highway speed "service airbags" light came on for no apparent reason. This car has never been in an accident and did not come in contact with anything. Light is still on and repair "estimate" is between $750. 00 and $1500. 00. Car had approximately 32000 miles on the odometer when this occurred but because the car is 4 years old Chevrolet will not warranty this safety problem.
2012 Camaro has had power down problems while just merging on interstate started at 40,000 miles. Air bag module claimed by dealership if the problem and will cost to fix along with throttle control body. Car had been diagnosed by another dealer but nothing was told could be the taka airbag recall but not sure with price of 1500 for repairs this also includes break changing I'm sure is not the major cost. I've been trying to get this airbag issue addressed. The power down and a dash info pop up first came at 36000 mile. All issues have been on highway 90 also interstate 10 on ramp and general driving.

2/25/15 - (camaro 2010 ss2, auto) upon startup the "check airbag " alarm sounded and displayed for about 5-8 seconds, and then normalized. I drove about town 15-20 miles with no further incident. 3/3/15 - while driving unto city street, the "check airbag" alarm sounded and flashed a momentary notice to have airbag serviced. I drove about 350 miles, stopping and starting at various times without further incidence. 3/14/15 - while driving on city street (about 2 miles from home), the same occurrence as above was noted. I keep my Camaro spotless and mostly in the garage. I've dismissed these incidents, but after reading other reports of similar responses, I feel compelled to make official note thereof.
I got in a accident my car hit another car in front driver fender at 45 mile per hour destroyed my car neither air bag deployed I am injured I bounced off steering wheel when we hit my seat belt unlocked about broke my whole rib cage.

The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 14v300000 (air bags) and 14v346000 (electrical system); however, the parts needed for the repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
1992 Chevrolet Camaro. Consumer states her grandson was in accident. Her grandson hit another vehicle and then flipped over. The air bags deployed. However, the force from the air bags caused injuries to his face. A child in the car, suffered minor injuries.
The dash is cracked around passenger airbag doors and I'm concerned with the operation of airbag if in a accident and the muffler is coming apart with only 27000 miles.
Airbag warning first started appearing on the car. Now is off and on continuously reporting. Why is a relatively common fault on such an important safety component not a recall?.
I went in a ditch and hit tree stump and they didn't deploy and I hit hard my mom is an automotive and semi technician I totaled the car she didn't under stand why they didn't.
