2 Brake Master Cylinder problem of the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 09/25/2013

My 2012 Camaro had a leak at the master cylinder resovior!one dealer where I bought it cancelled my appoitment and said they would mail me a cap!I refused as this would void the warranty!took to another dealer and they confirmed and replaced cap!about 10k later the brake petal went to the floor and lost my brakes!dealer ordered a new resovior and replaced it!took car home and foor kept going to the floor!brought car back abd dealer said it was fine. They refusd to let me speak to a tech or service manager!brought to another dealer and the called gm. There was no brake pressure and no warning lights on!they took off master cylinder and rebled system!less than 100 miles later I went out to start car as I been sick and didnt want a dead battery and foot went right to the floor!I opened hood and resovior was soaked and brake fluid sprayed onto the positive jumper cable, leaked under master cylinder and you can see that there was a spray pattern directly from the master cylinder!fluid is being forced out and air being sucked back in!car will be towed back to dealer!last time they claimed previous dealer over filled resovior and thats why there was no pressure!a slightly as they said overfilled master cylinder will never cause a no brake pressure issue!sounds like they were told what to write by gm legal department!front brakes also grind when there is pressure and causing rotors to be grooved!so sad that they dont care that this is a life and death issue!.

3 Brake Master Cylinder problem of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 05/05/2010

I purchase the car in 2/2010 & in 5/2010 the brakes started making noise & were loose to the point I had to pump them. I contacted gm took my car to bennett Chevrolet who said nothing was wrong & that's the way they sound, so I took the car to garber the guy drove my car at first said he didn't hear anything, because the noise was obvious ,he then said it was coming from another car. In 12/10 the breaks went to the floor ,only after telling Chevrolet that they will be held responsible. I took the car back to bennett they had to order the master cylinder I got my car back 1/2011. In 7/2013 the same noise again I don't drive the car much so I'm thinking a brake pad even after I notice the exterior around the air conditioner, shifting gears and where the brake fluid goes in looked melt. On 8/2013 I took the car to bennett to be told again nothing is wrong and told the same lie that's the way they sound. 9/2013 went to garber at first they said my brake pads are like new, I told them about the brake problem I had & it's the master cylinder again they repaired it, but I don't know the noise is still there and if history repeats its self the brakes will go to the floor again.

4 Brake Master Cylinder problem of the 1996 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 06/03/1998

I have replaced the master cylinder for the brakes 3-4 times and have put new brakes on it all the way around. There is surely no way I could go through that many master cylinders with in the time I have had it. My next move is to replace or look at the "booster" for the air brake system. My brakes are not holding pressure, when stopped, I have to ethier put it in park, or pump the brake to stay fully stopped. . . . It kinda "ease up" like you unknownly let your foot off of the brake but you don't. Please let me know something on this. . . Anything. Thank you very much. Proud Camaro owner, michelle dorr. , sallisaw, ok.
