1 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem of the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 04/20/2021

Intermitantly the car will not shift into gear. You have to force the shift into 1st gear then into second, and I am talking really forcing shifter into gear. . . . At times the shifter will not shift into any gear. . . Then other times it runs just perfectly. . . It is happening much more frequently and is dangerous. Below it is asking when did this happen - this a frequently occuring problem, and I see online may owners are having the same problems with dealers offering no help. Or paying for a repair and problem persists.

3 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem of the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 08/26/2016

On fri, 26 August 2016, at a stop, my car wouldn't go into any gear (it is a 6 speed manual). I almost got hit. A cop & a good samaritan stopped & forced the gear in 1st as dealership & gm weren't helpful over the phone. I immediately drove to flow. They kept the car for a week & said they did a full check & everything was okay. Gm was contacted but nothing was done to fix it. On sat, 24 September at night in a parking garage, I came to a complete stop and when I went to put my car into first gear to park, again it would not go into gear. I recorded a video of my friend having to force it into gear as the good samaritan did weeks before. Anyone who views the video can see how the car won't go in gear & can hear the noise it makes (as it did the in the August scenario). I brought the vehicle in that mon. Car was kept for a week. They contacted gm & gm said the same thing had been happening to other 2016 Camaros & the solution was to flush out or "bleed" some fluid in the clutch. I'm not a mechanic but I knew this wouldn't work. This is obviously a mechanical problem. I was also suspicious. Just 3 weeks before, gm supposedly had no solutions & acted like my car was the only one doing this. Fri , 30 sept, car was returned. On sat morning 1 oct, the same issue happened at a drive thru & 2 employees had to push me in the parking lot. New manager says they'll drive the car to see if it happens to them & also can try "one more thing". The car has an obvious manufacter defect that is a safety hazard. I called gm for assistance & they atttempted to contact flow for more info & after several minutes ,returned & said that they had not been transferred to service & was told flow service was"too busy" to talk because they were getting off in an hour. Gm needs to honor their warranty & take the transmission apart or replace the vehicle. It's in the shop for the 3rd time in 4 weeks.

4 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 07/12/2016

The car makes a load popping noise when started but only once right after it starts. The car will run like it is in gear or missing and want to move forward, even with the clutch press down and in gear. It is very hard to get in gear with the clutch pressed or will not go in to gear, 1st or 2nd so driving can be very dangerous.

5 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem of the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 05/07/2015

I was told last year that I had a bad transmission due to water damage to my vehicle and that they would not cover the repair because they said that I drove it through water which was not true so, I had to pay a $250. 00ded out of pocket, and $3856. 97 was paid by my insurance company. Not even 2 months later the same problem. The car will drive and then it will stop on you and not change into gear. The car has been in the shop about 8 times for the same problem and they can't seem to tell me what the problem is. Who can I contact to help me with this issue since the manufacturer cant tell what's wrong with their own product.

6 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem of the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 05/22/2014

A few months ago I took my 2013 Chevrolet Camaro 2ls to premier Chevrolet of buena park for an oil change. On the way home after driving the car for about 60 miles the check engine light came on for a few minutes then it went off. On may the 22nd on my way back home from work the check engine light came back on while sitting in traffic. Once traffic started moving I noticed that the car would not shift gears it was stuck on 2nd gear. Drove the car through the streets to the nearest dealership in la puente CA the whole way the car would not shift. I am waiting for a response from the dealer to see if the warranty is going to cover the issue.

7 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 03/01/2013

Car will not go into first or reverse. Shifts fine in other gears and when car turned off. Took to dealer who said clutch was worn at 50,000 miles because I was too hard on it? I dont race, hot rod etc, thats why I bought a v6 manual for durability. Am only owner only driver. This is not my first manual transmission vehicle and to have a clutch go bad at 50,000 miles is pre-mature and unacceptable and costing $1700. 00 gm isthe only ones making clutch so I was forced to go to dealer and pay for repairs for a factory issue that caused early clutch burn out and false "ok" diagnostic on transmission. Turns out alot of other owners are having the same problem and its costing us $$$. Any machanic driving this car said "this is a transmission issue, not a clutch". A car not going into gear is not the clutch. There was no grinding of gears, it just wouldn't go despite force and clutch pushed all the way in numerous times.
