36 Wiper problem of the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 10/02/2017

The windshield fogs up with and without activating the defrost. The fog occurs in the middle of the drive and obstruct the driver's view. The fog also occurs when the vehicle is powered on and in park. However, the risk is the view obstruction when this occurs while driving. This has been ongoing for several months and seems to be getting progressively worse.

37 Wiper problem of the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 04/14/2017

They have a flaw where there is always vent from when the ac is on to the defrost vent on the windshield, here in texas where there is 100 humidity most of the year. I have poor visibility because of all the condensation from cold air hitting the windshield all the time. I am having to run my wipers anytime I drive my vehicle, even with no rain. It causes for a major distraction and I have almost wreck several times.

40 Wiper problem of the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 02/07/2017

There is a continued behavior of the front window fogging up, nearly completely obstructing my ability to see out of the front of the car. This is an absolute safety concern that needs to be addressed. It happens frequently in the early mornings in high humidity situations.

41 Wiper problem of the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 12/30/2016

2012 Camaro with 56000 miles on it has a problem with heater core being plugged. Causes the windshield to fog over suddenly losing visibility while vehicle is in motion. This should not be happening on a car thats only a few years old with low miles. I have done research on the internet and google and there are a lot of newer model Camaros that are experiencing this problem but gm refuses to admit there is a problem. I just had to pay 1400. 00 out of pocket with no help or assistance from gm. This is a safety concern should the window fog up to the point of not being able to properly see. I am reporting this on behalf of other drivers of newer model Camaros who are having this issue and on the recommendation of my regular mechanic who said with the number of reported problems with this part it should be investigated.

42 Wiper problem of the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 07/02/2016

1st problem, the left speaker started a loud screeching noise while the radio was still playing. I had to stop the car and turn off the engine to stop the noise. 2nd problem, when I hit a bump in the road, the radio shuts off. I can't get local stations. Only sirrus station. Now when I turn the steering wheel too hard the radio shuts off then comes back on. Now while driving on the high ways, the dash board lightsturns off by them selves momentarily then turns back on. Also because of these problems, I turn the radio off. . . And while driving the radio turns on by itself. Driver-side back -up light was replaced visibility /wiper needs replacing wiper fluid squirt dosen't work effectively . . Maybe nozzle is clogged d.

43 Wiper problem of the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 05/12/2016

Defective hvac system: excessive moisture on outside windshield, due to hvac blowing ac cold air onto windshield inside the vehicle while running ac unit. Every time I use my ac the windshield fogs up with excessive moisture on the outside of the windshield and it a life threatening problem, as you have to run the wipers to clear the windshield for any visibility fogging issues. Gm knows about this problem and they have yet to come up with a fix, as all 2016-2018 Chevrolet Camaro's have the same problem and yet they still sell them and are not interested in fixing this life threatening issue! guess gm is waiting for their Camaro customers to get killed first before they act to fix this ongoing problem.

44 Wiper problem of the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 05/01/2016

Ever since the first day I took delivery ofy brand new Camaro the windshield fogs up excessively when run into the ac no matter how it's set. I've had it back at the dealer numerous times including once where they performed an on the fly removal of a piece of foam to supposedly help seal the dash to windshield mode actuator door which didn't fix it. Windshield was removed to perform this and it cracked had to get a new windshield installed overall this is not only an annoyance but a safety hazzard I can't drive it in the summer without sweating inside the cabin because with the ac on and day vents only it acts as if there is an ice chest and a turbo fan blasting ice cold air on the windshield which in conjunction with the humidity just plasters the windshield with fog on the outside of the windshield. Fog treatment sprays don't work. Nothing has. Gm doesn't even try to solve it. My wife won't drove the car due to the vision being impeded. Happens when sitting still or driving.

45 Wiper problem of the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 01/01/2016

Electrical shortage causing radio malfunctions and heat/air malfunctions. At times my radio clock and date is off. These events happen when the vehicle is in motion or is stationed. The electrical shortage started two years after we purchased the brand new vehicle.

46 Wiper problem of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 10/05/2015

One evening I got in my car and turned the heater on. Immediately, my windshield fogged up and the air coming out of the vents had a very strong odor, which smelt like coolant. For the entire drive (20 min) I could not get the windshield to defog. The next day, I drove my car and it was running extremely hot (about 220-250f). When I parked, I noticed that my car was leaking coolant. I tried to locate the source of the leak, but it was leaking from the middle of the car- about where the radio is. Not being able to locate the leak, I filled up the radiator with water to get me home without over heating. When I got home I found a large puddle of coolant where my car was parked overnight. After doing some research, I found many other Camaro owners who had foggy windshields, coolant smell in hvac system, and leaking coolant. They said these were the signs that the heater core "went out. " I then went to look near my heater core, and sure enough, I had coolant on my passengers floor board and found drips of coolant below the heater core. Many of the Camaro owners have shared their experience with having this problem repaired and it sounds like the front seats, windshield, and dash have to be removed to replace the heater core. This is on average about a $2000 repair at a dealership. With how many cases there seems to be just from a quick search online, this should be issued a recall! this is also a safety concern- hot coolant could have dripped on my passenger's feet and burnt them.

47 Wiper problem of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 03/20/2015

The heater core in the Camaro has become faulty. It is leaking coolant onto the passenger floor area and also producing strong fumes within the cabin. It also makes visibility very difficult as the windows fog up and the defroster no longer works properly/.

48 Wiper problem of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 03/02/2015

I have what I believe a heater core going bad. With the heat on I have a very strong maple syrup smell and my windshield fogs up really bad when it is cold out. I only have 30k miles on my Camaro and rarely use the heat. It is obviously leaking. It us a dangerous situation where many people are complaining about this problem. It can get difficult to see when your entire windshield fogs up, also breathing in the antifreeze fumes.

49 Wiper problem of the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro

Failure Date: 02/13/2015

Vapor began coming in through the air vents, along with a super-sweet smell; this smell was later identified as leaking engine coolant. The front windshield quickly fogged up, beginning on the passenger side, and absolutely would not clear. Using the vehicle's defrost only increased the windshield fogging and severely decreased visibility. Fogging and visibility is worse when the weather is cool or it is raining, and the coolant smell inside the car can make you sick and give you headaches. Fog-free window treatment is ineffective. Taken to the Chevrolet dealership service center, the Camaro has a bad heater core - to fix this extremely hazardous issue, the Camaro's windshield must be taken out along with the dash and seats just to gain access to the heater core. . . At a cost around $2,000 and over a week in the service center. . . Beware this is not covered under chevy's powertrain warranty (the heater core is excluded). This is a very common problem with newer model Camaros and should be a gm recall by now. I was able to pull off the interstate before my visibility was reduced to zero. . . Somebody else may not be so lucky, or may not know what's going on when their windshield begins to fog.
