Incident to report: 97 Chevrolet Cavalier back window cracked when closed door. This resulted in broken glass all over my infant's car sit and toys. If my infant was in the car at the time, she would have suffered major injury.
I discovered at 1500 miles my 2004 Cavalier LS had a leak apparent in the roof liner. Took it to the dealer and turns out the rear back window seal was not properly installed and was crimped upon installation at the factory. The problem was repaired under warranty by gm and was fixed to my satisfaction.
Driver's side front window will only come down approx 5 inches, and passenger side window will not go all the way up, leaving approx an 8 inch opening. I think this is definitely a safety hazard because if I can't roll up the window, the car can be easily stolen, vandalized, or burglarized. Not to mention my driver's side window entrapping me inside of the car in case the vehicle submerge into water. I have looked into getting the problem fixed, & the quotes I got were 400-500$ for each window. My warranty has been up for a year.
