Steering Wheel Problems of Chevrolet Cavalier

I reported a noise and the fact that the car wants to veer to the left as I was "test" driving this car. I said something to the salesman at the time. He told me to keep driving it to see if it continues. While driving 35mph, under wet conditions, steering wheel locked up. Dealer and manjufacturer have been notified.

Was at stop position & started to accelerate. The steering wheel pped out of driver's hand. Vehicle proceeded to jerk right or left into other lane. Been to dealer & mechanic could not locate cause of problem. The problem doesn't happen all the time. It is intermittent.

Was driving and trying to turn applied the brakes, could not turn steering wheel, causing driver to hit another car .

The steering column is 3/4 of an inch to the right of the driver's line of vision. As a result, the rim of steering wheel intersects the driver's view of the warning lights on the panel. When the driver's hands are on the wheel, the view of the panel is completely blocked.
