1 Car Accelerates On Its Own problem of the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado

Failure Date: 05/02/2015

I bought a 2015 chevy Colorado at the beginning of the year - since then I would on occasion notice a "shudder" or sluggish acceleration followed by sudden burst of rpms/acceleration. At about the 3 month mark (around 4500 miles) my transmission failed and was replaced. About a 3/4 of a month later I got my truck back and continued to notice the same shudder and erratic behavior. I began to research the issue and found many drivers of this and the GMC model are encountering the same issue. I have had to nag the dealership about the issue and there eventually was a tcm (transmission control module) software update which seem to max the issue which is beginning to manifest itself again. The short version of symptoms is as follows: sudden acceleration at slow speeds (this caused me to almost hit a motorcyclist in slow moving traffic), odd gear shifting (or lack of) going up hills, or going down hills, sometimes turning. . . Odd shifting at normal speeds (but normally on hills). Vibration at normal driving speeds that seems to come from under the truck (not the tires)? I'm finding the truck to be more and more unpredictable and am not sure I wont encounter another failure in the near future.
