5 Frame And Members problem of the 2007 Chevrolet Colorado

Failure Date: 07/14/2009

I own a 2007 chevy Colorado. I am very careful when it comes to my vehicles maintenance and take all precautions. When it comes down to a simple routine such as tire rotation, as many americans with the know how do, I performed this myself. With a four way and a torsion bar set at the factory 100 lb setting. Before I even used the torsion bar, the wheel stud had broken with no more than 30lbs of pressure. I took my vehicle to a local gm dealer and was told it is not covered under my warranty. I argued that regardless of who had worked on it, the stud still would have broke. So now I am driving around with a missing stud and I am concerned about the safety of my vehicle. I believe that this is a poorly produced part and should be replaced by my factory warranty.

6 Frame And Members problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Colorado

Failure Date: 11/28/2007

I own a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado with 14,000 miles on it. I have taken my truck to the dealer on at least 5 occasions complaining of a terrible vibration. The vibration is horrible from 40-55+ miles per hour. The dealer has so far replaced the 2 front tires, replaced the air inside the tires, rotated the tires and most recently stated there is nothing else they can do. After the last visit, I said there is something wrong with the truck and you or gm are going to have to step up and do something. This is my only transportation and I am very nervous about driving the truck with this terrible vibration. Please let me know what else I can do. I think a recall is in the cards, either to replace the all the tires or make modifications to the truck frame, etc.
