2006 Chevrolet Colorado 3. 5 liter 4x4
fuel leak at the fuel tank where the fuel feed
line connects to the fuel tank
by a quick connector. This is a high pressure line and the fuel was
spraying out which could have potentially
caused a fire and explosion from the hot
exhaust. It appears that safety is being
compromised for quick assembly. Complaint # 2
engine power is reduced when codes for
throttle position sensor. When code is cleared
or erased full power resumes. It appears
that is not necessary to reduce power
for this code.

I have a 2004 chevy Colorado crew cab 4x4 with the z71 off road package. I ran over a stick about 3/4" to 1-1/2" in dia. And it broke the fuel line (that is pvc not metal). I think gm should look at this more closely as it is a major hazard on the road. I notified gm on Monday 12-01-2008 and they said that, could not have happened. Well it did happen and if it happened to me I am sure it has before and will happen again. Please let me know how I should proceed with this major road safety hazard. Thank you, randy schmidt.
