The entire dash went dark, there was no display of the odometer, symbols for system ie lights, oil pressure, tachometer, and no display on the screen where the radio or navigation selections are made. This began upon car being started. Turning off engine and restarting did not resolve. Car was drivable but not safely as speed could not be monitored.

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated while driving at speeds above 25 mph, the abs system failed, causing the front brakes to activate without the driver depressing the brake pedal. During the failure the active handling warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the active handling control module wiring harness was faulty and needed to be replaced. Additionally, while operating the vehicle the low beam headlights inadvertently turned off. The mechanic diagnosed that the wiring harness for the exterior lighting needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA campaign number: 14v251000 (electrical system, exterior lighting). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 50,000.

When headlights are in auto mode (I. E. Headlights off in sunlight and daytime running lights on, and headlights on in darkness), they will go in and out from on to off doesn't matter weather it is bright sunlight or darkness, and in darkness the headlights will sometimes turn totally off - there is no consistency as to when this happens. This could be a very hazardous condition especially when driving at night and the headlights turn off. I have taken the car to a Chevrolet dealer for repair and a ambient light sensor has been ordered, however there has been no indication as to when this part may be available. The headlights arbitrarily turning off in darkness could be a very hazardous condition. The bad light sensor has been documented by many owners of Corvettes and seems to have impacted autos build at least from about Feb 2022 through may 2022.

I took car to local Chevrolet dealer to have headlight flashing problem corrected. They gave me back the car saying it was fixed. Problem is still there and now they want regular shop rate to repair the recal problem. Problem is a broken wire in the fuse box in engine compartment. This causes the low beam headlights to flicker on and off wfter engine compartment heats up. Car is unsafe to drive at night.
Low beams don't work when the engine gets hot, I was driving the other night at 10pm and the headlights went out. Pitch black and almost wrecked. . . . . . . This is a know issue. . . . . Llow beam lights completely stopped working on way home on a busy highway in the dark. High beams work, parking lights work. After cool down relay allows low beam to come back on. This is a major safety issue.

My 2005 Chevrolet Corvette is having the same issues listed in campaign 10v172000 on 04/26/2010. Yet when I enter my VIN number it says no recalls. The "service active handling system" message appears with loss of the feature and loss of brakes lights. The brakes lights come on spontaneously while driving and turn off when the brakes are actually applied. Obviously a dangerous situation. 02.
When I bought the car I noticed the antenna stopped working but I hear the motor running after I turn the car on and off . Also my park lights come on and off and keeps going out with good fuses, also my horn won't blow and it has good fuses also my seat will only move forward and backward but not up to give me height this is both in motion and parked.

The front lights of the car one of them isn't working. I believe this isn't the first complain about this kind of car. It is dangerous to be driving on the road. I have to continue to put my high beams on for them to work. At times both the lights are on and with time driving it will turn one of them off. It's dangerous because the visibility on the road for me and other drivers.
Got off work at 6pm was driving home on regular roads, and out of no where my low beams went out and wouldn't turn on again. Check all the fuses and relays and there all good.
The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette. While driving at any speed, the high beam lights activated automatically without warning. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.
Low beams don't work but when you hold it back bright s only work when held back but when let loose they go off and still no low beams.
Hid lights have gone out completely without notice or warning. Only the lower lights are operational. Regular lights are out and high beam lights are out. This is a safety concern and the car malfunctioned without warning. This appears to be a common problem with the new model. I have a 2005 and have only had to replace one light one time and have nearly 200k miles. The service center stated they've never replaced the hid lights on a Corvette since employed with the company and thought since both went out at the same time there may be other issues. Online research demonstrates this is not an isolated incident. The car provided no warnings that the lights were going to go out or that they were out.

My car has had a problem with the instrument panel lighting improper (intensity) and speed control (erratic control) both operated improperly. I finally found a dealer that agreed there was a problem, the problem was the interface between the instrument panel and several computers in the car. In an attempt to reprogram the computers it was found the panel was so defective the computers could not be programed. It turns out the problem is so pervasive that there are no repair parts available anywhere to fix my car. It was been awaiting a part now for over 6 weeks with no idea when one will be available. So I am without the car which is inoperable until repairs are completed. It seems that if this problem so large that no parts are available nor can it be determined when they will be available there must be a significant problem you should be aware of. I have talked to Chevrolet as far up the line as the customer service office with no answer available. This took 2 years of effort to get Chevrolet to look at the car even though there were maintenance advisories out about the issue.
The vehicle dic display goes blank periodicly. The anlalog gages work at all times. When the display is blank, and while driving, the analogs will go full scale and all warning lights will illuminate for a few seconds. Then the analog gages return to normal operation. While driving for a period of about 30 minutes or more, the display becomes operative, and all steering wheel commands function. The display and gages operate normaly for days. Then after sitting in the garage when I open the left door, days later, the display does not come on. And repeats the cycle. I have informed gm and have an open case. However, they have no immediate solution and I was told that there are no replacement instrument clusters available at this time. I was also told that there are a number of owners across the country that are experiencing similar issues with their dic's. A gm rep at the action center stated that all owners with this problem are waiting for replacement parts. They could give no expectation as to when the parts will be available. Gm knows there is a problem with the 2014 Corvette instrument clusters. . I am now on a list of owners waiting for the word on when the clusters will become available. My car is not even 3 yrs old and gm doesn't have the part to fix it anywhere in the gm system? mileage 813. 0 I thought the vehicle needed a software update. I brought it to the local chevy dealer and they told me they attempted to update the software 3 x and each time it failed. They stated that they did not know what the problem was and could not fix the problem. When they returned my car, all gages and displays were inoperative, including the infotainment system. I had an independant tech reprogram the system, and all returned to normal. However, the dic display is still intermittent. The display goes out only while it is sitting with power off. Does not go out when driving.
My electronic stability control comes on regularly especially when I hit sand in driveway and tire spins which I expect but at other times the warning light comes on without any tire spin or condition that would warrant this. Turning from a stand still is another time the lights will come on without any tire spin. My wife drives this car now and I got a newer one. I am worried about her safety as she is an older lady 62 and if brakes locked up or steering she would not know how to handle the situation.
The cars hud is not readable when driving into the sun.
Low beam turn off driving at night.
This 03 Corvette has electrical problems since day one, I bought it after being misled and discriminated against and never given correct vehicle report, it has awkward glitches in lighting, all ejector electrical systems, it indicates water damage; hurricane, flooding.

Dealers refuse to repair vehicle stating the extended special coverage has expired. Airbag light will not shut off due to wire harness problem and gm knows about the problem. I tried to get the car repaired but local dealer did not have the parts. And the coverage expired. . I receive the notice in may 2016. My car met the mileage standard, less than 120 k miles and within 10 years of ownership.
Documents attached detailing problem and gm's response - this is not a typical lens fogging with age that can be cleaned with a store bought product. I put 1/15/16 as the date below as that is the date I first contacted gm but this has formed over the last number of months.
Took car in for a diagnose gentleman said there was a recall for low beams so I said it was fine took car home 3 weeks later while I was on the highway cars low beams went out after engine heats up went back to dealer and let them know the the situation and the went and checked the car turns out that now I have a faulty fuse box keep in mind I had car for 3 years and never had a low beam problem till the recall was preformed.
Rear parking lights.
When I drive my car at night my low beams stop working after 25min of driving it. Everything else is working fine so I have to drive with my high beams and I've been pull over for driving like that. After I park and the car sits for few hours the low beams start to work again.
Around 1-13-15, spoke with "jessica" about recall I received on my 2005 Corvette, which stated the parts were available and I should contact the dealer to schedule an appointment. Jessica said they did not have the parts, but would call when they were available. Today is February 23, 2015, and I still have heard nothing from watson Chevrolet regarding the recall on my 2005 Chevrolet Corvette. How long should one be expected to wait for a recall repair?.
