Three problems related to wiring have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Express. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The dome light went out suddenly, all back wires were melted. Dealer notified.
Wiring harness under fuse block at drivers feet not properly secured by s-clip and wires rub against access hole in sheet metal causing short in turn signal or 4-way flasher circuit causing fire. Vehicle is mark iii conversion.
The vehicle stalled while driving. The driver was able to pull over then drove the vehicle home. The driver smelled burning wires coming through the vents. The cause has not been determined. Please provide any additional information.
