The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the engine control module and transmission control module needed to be reprogrammed. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 08v313000 (power train). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 55,000.
