The contact indicated that the front and rear lamps were located less then 6 inches apart. The local dealer united bus sales were notified of the failure. The failure was not yet repaired. The manufacture was not notified. Jft.

Last month the right side rear brake lite and blinker did not work and this month the drivers side tail lite doesn"t work . They replaced the main computer bcm last month ,waiting to see what they do this time. Both times I was on the hwy driving.

While driving consumer smelled a burning odor. Within seconds the cabin was in smoke, then flames. Upon inspection of the vehicle by the consumer the fire started from the rear of the van. Consumer felt it was due to the rear license plate lamp socket, recall 03v217000, but was not sure. The van will be inspected by a Chevrolet inspector.
